I came here with friends from Milan. One of the best local recommended restaurants, friends said. I love raw seafood and Kandoo offers a great variety! Start with amaebi, Italian red shrimp, and scampi, there is no better way than have them raw and fresh,...sweet and gelatin texture, a little bit of soy sauce with wasabi or the accompanying light yuzu soy, perfect to start the dinner with Gin Tonic or jasmine tea. Salmon tartar, fatty salmon and avocado with a touch of Japanese grapefruit yuzu sauce and sesame oil, perfectly melts in your mouth, one is not enough! Seared salmon sashimi with fresh wasabi, hamachi carpaccio, Kandoo tartar, all delicious and great appetizers! Yakisoba, like no others, stirred fried with homemade sauce, sweetness comes from apple juice, excellent touch. Kandoo offers a great selection of California rolls, could only have 2 rolls this time, the Tiger roll and the New Kandoo Maki, first melts smoothly and latter crunchy and flavorful. If you love nigiri, the real "sushi" as Japanese would say, but can't make all that carbs, Gunkan is the perfect solution! Each piece wrapped with sashimi and topped with scallop/spicy tuna/quail egg and truffle/etc, amazing small and rich bites. Get the Degustazione Gunkan, it's the Kandoo omakase.
