Went there as a family of four. Amazing food and service. Some of the best food we had on our trip to Milan

Overall we liked our meal- pitcher of sangria, burrito and mole- but the staff quite literally ignored us. We finally had to ask another server for the bill when our server just refused to look near us even as my husband waved and called to him repeatedly. Bizarre and a bit of a downer on a fav trip to Italy.

When we first arrived in Milan we decided to give this restaurant a try since it was across the street from our hotel. It seemed out of place in the center of Milan. The staff was cordial and spoke a little English. Chips were on the table...not sure how long they had been there. We ordered fajitas and split the... More

We were super well welcomed for a very nice and friendly stuff. The aperitifs arrived super fast, the food was delicious, hot and even the ones who were not much into Mexican food loved and wanted came back, so you can imagine the quality is really high level! Highly recommended.

After feeding up from Pizza and pasta, I wanted to taste something completely different. I wanted something that has some spices, so luckily I found this restaurant in the corner of the street. They serve great food, with a great service, not excellent service by great. The seating area upstairs was small, but we managed to fit into a vacant... More

Ate here on a Saturday evening, we were only offered a table close to the door and with the amount of people coming and going it was bloody cold....the food order took over an hour to arrive and was pretty average once it did.

Average mexican food...it is kinda hard to mess up a mexican dish but they managed to do it somehow. Lovely place, nice interior but they need to make a food taste better. The prices are also high for what you get...around 10 eur for tortilla and the portion size is for a small lady maybe, certainly not for a hungry... More

Very disappointed. Pretty loud place. Frozen food as entry dish and in the end we spent 30 euros each. Definitely avoid it!

I was looking for a yummy mexican restaurent in Milan and I found this one, read the reviews on tripadvisor and it seemed good. It is actually the first time that I've been to a restaurent that has good reviews and actually was a nightmare. I made a reservation for 19.15 and when we arrived it was closed. It said... More

Description
In ancient Mexico City, the Spanish conquistadors discovered a new kitchen indigenous to their palate, where corn, chili and tomatoes, beans, spices, avocado were the basic ingredients. Mixing ethnicities and cultures, were added rice, beef, potatoes, chicken and centuries so was born the modern Mexican cuisine. Papas & Beer Milan was born here in 1999. Tacos, burritos, chili con carne, enchiladas and the famous fajitas are just some of our many dishes, enriched by the experience of years of work. Not forgetting the traditions, however, we have been able to meet the needs of customers today with tasty salads and vegetarian dishes. We have added a touch of novelty in the dishes, but in essence we were true to ourselves. At Papas & Beer everything is color, atmosphere, fun, as always. And our staff is here for you. We wait.

Staying in Navigli

Neighbourhood Profile
Navigli
The Navigli is part of historic Milan. In the ancient days, the entire city was linked with canals, similar to Venice. Today, most of the canals are gone, but the Navigli remains a canal-based neighborhood. There are two major canals: Naviglio Pavese and Naviglio Grande. The Naviglio Grande's bridges greet visitors at dusk with an amazing view. The Navigli district specializes in clubs, cafes, and vintage shops. Lifestyle reigns supreme here. You can start the walk from the Colonne di San Lorenzo, an antique colonnade in front of the Basilica di San Lorenzo. During the daytime, this place acts as a meeting point for artists and students reading books or chatting with friends; the nights turn it into a stepping-stone for club hoppers. Science lovers will also relish the opportunity to visit the Science and Technology National Museum Leonardo Da Vinci, showcasing inventions of the Italian genius.
