Visited this place in the afternoon and it was quite quiet about 10 people in but it was late afternoon and I got the impression it had been rammed at lunch. Bar staff were all really friendly (English wasn't great) but they made a effort and I made a effort in Italian. Had a couple of drinks and the wife... More

I enjoyed a glass of red wine in this wonderful little restaurant after a recommendation, it was cosy and the atmosphere was buzzing, lots of locals enjoying top quality wine and aperitives. I didn't eat here but did see the fried seafood dish which looked and smelt delicious. The decor is beautiful, it is a flower shop during the day so... More

Small restaurant typical with Italian/French cuisine. Nice wine selection. Good value! Very tasty food and nice service.

Old flower shop transformed in a lovely restaurant, decorated with quaint taste, in Brerra area. The dining room is pretty small, hosting a max of 10 tables. Food (creative Italian) was lovely and nicely refined, except the fish Involtini which was merely indescribable. Definitely recommended for a pleasant lunch break when walking through Bretta quarter!

Was excited about the place and happy to be there during one of my visits to Milan! Unfortunately the service was horrible starting from the waitress and got even worse when the owner insulted me. I was even speaking Italian and trying to be polite but she was really unpolite and rude! Never ever recommend this place to anyone!

I cannot stress how awful this place is. So many great places in Milano to visit therefore recommendation is to seriously avoid. If anyone has been to Paris and had the original Parisian customer service, times this by at least 3, and this is what you will expect. Rude owner, OK drinks. AVOID AT ALL COSTS! If you do brave... We came here for lunch after having seen the website. There were fewer flowers perhaps, but the decor of orchids and art were appealing. The food is a little expensive (16 euros) per dish but excellent and filling enough that we had a primo of pasta (fusilli with seafood and pancetta) and shared a dessert, which was enough to keep... A friend who lives in Milan recommended this cafe for a late breakfast or light lunch. I dropped in for an espresso and unfortunately had had a very heavy breakfast, so wasn't too hungry (I walked here from the center of Milan where I was staying and had hoped to be hungrier by the time I reached it). Since it... More

Staying in Brera

Neighbourhood Profile
Brera captures the real essence of the city. It is an excellent mix between history and modernity, where tradition meets innovation. Here design and beauty reign. On Via Brera there are the famous Pinacoteca (galleries), the National Gallery of Modern and Antique Art, and the Academy of Fine Arts. Interior design boutiques and intellectual cafes are typical of the district. Walking along Via Madonnina is a must to admire the architecture of buildings and the design stores. On Sundays, going to the local market is an unmissable opportunity for fashion, style and art. Tucked away, there is the Orto Botanico di Brera botanical garden that seems like a painting framed in an ancient fairy structure. Last but not least, it’s worth a visit to Giardini Pubblici Indro Montanelli with its Planetarium, the Civico Museo di Storia Naturale (Natural History Museum).
