This place it's a spark of modern dining in a very dated city. It's a very pleasant place to visit, and even if the menu is limited, the food is good quality. Prices are middle-high.

For me has became a fixed stage when I'm in Mantua. A really nice and quiet ambient, the right frame for a good quality of food by the Mediterranean and 'Mantovana' kitchen, One of the best restaurant in Mantua, accompanied by a refined selection of wine. You must try the ''Sbrisolona' pie, strictly homemade.

I was born in Mantua and I love food, so I'm quite picky when it comes to "la cucina mantovana"! I've been many times to LaCucina, and I've always enjoyed the ambience, the food and the people. When you are visiting my beautiful city don't miss LaCucina: it will be a lovely experience.

Went there on my latest trip to Italy. Great, earthy, home cooked food in a simple but slick setting. I could not fault the quality of the offer, the excellent wine list, nor indeed the service. Bravissimo!!

I was sent here by my host - very good food (gnocchi followed by pork roast with prunes and chestnuts) and a fairly reasonable bill. Setting and service are efficient and relaxed. It's a good option for getting away from the rather repetitive menus in the other local restaurants.

Not on our radar screen before we got there but many people recommended it so we went the last night. Glad we did. Just a short walk from our Palazzo B and B on a quiet side street. My steak was great. My wife had curried chicken with couscous and really liked it. Starter salsa with sheep cheese, fresh lettuces... More

If you visit Mantua you should not miss this hidden gem. Very good traditional food from Mantua region and friendly staff. The restaurant athmosphere is very pleasant, it is a very good mixture of hip interiorn design and casual dining. Very good price/quality ratio.

Went here noticing the nice atmosphere and design. Ordered Lasagne (vegetarian) and a plate called 'bulgur with vegetables'. These were priced at 10 and 9 euro respectively, giving one a-priori reason to think the portions would be sufficient. The lasagna was very good but absolutely overpriced for portion size and types of ingredients. The bulgur plate had ~ 10 forks... More

A chance discovery when looking for a light lunch this was a real find . A light modern restaurant that provides a few set dishes beautifully cooked . Very reasonably priced . Try it!

In Mantua something different
LaCucina translates into a modern dimension the old concept of "dining" welcoming the guest in a relaxed and family environment.
The menu offers both traditional and contemporary cuisine dishes maintaining the simplicity and extreme care of old times, with particular attention to the products choice and methods of cooking.
At lunch, there is a deliberately small menu that allows you to quickly eat high quality food at an affordable price, in the evening you can enjoy a more extensive and elaborated menu in order to better appreciate the value of our kitchen.
Customers can also order food to go and buy some of the products that we prepare and serve to our guests.
