Vinitaly 2017...We stayed in Mantova and found this super bright lighted restaurant....we had antipasto with polenta and lardo , tagliatelle with beans and salsiccia ( nice!!) and risotto alla Mantovana ..good.. but still service was not the best ever...maybe to rustic for me..maybe....
I recently visited osteria dell'oca and I was delighted by both the food and the place. It is a small and cute location. The service is really nice and the dishes are served in cute and traditional metallic dish/pan. The food is excwllent and the price is on line with Mantova. Enjoy a visit!!

This was recommended by our AirBnB host. It has a friendly atmosphere and excellent local dishes. The food is just as good as in more upmarket restaurants in the centre.
excellent traditional food warm, very helpful and friendly staff advice: it is better to reserve table in advance because the restaurant is frequently full

No outside seating and you could miss the restaurant if you didn't know where it was. Full of locals. Must book on a Saturday. What is the liqueur they... More
This place was recommended to us, and we tried to come here on the first night of our stay in Mantua but were turned away because we didn't have a reservation. So we persisted, and reserved a table for another evening. This was fortunate, as we had an excellent meal here. The food is somewhat rustic, but none the worse... More
