We liked the place and its atmosphere. It is not particulary a cafe place with views, but you can see down to the city. There was also vegan options.

What a view! Little cafe at the funicular railway station with great selection of draught beers and wines! Has a little balcony but the view is amazing. Worth buying a beer for on it's on....

Caffe della Funicolare is ideal for a drink (alcoholic or not) while contemplating the nice views of Bergamo's Citta Bassa from the terrace. We stopped there for coffee and snacks after wandering in Citta Alta and we really loved the views. There is a wide variety of spirits, beer and wines as well. You can also have a meal from... More

Another cold day found us searching for a warm snack opportunity, and having found many places closed we opted for this venue There was no English translation on the menu, which is not a complaint, as it's surely our business to understand, and our server did give of her best to translate it for us. But in the end the... More

Thoroughly enjoyed our drinks with a view on the terrace. A bit pricey but to be expected. Good service and not rushed at all.

Fine service, portions are very small but the bread was of high quality and helped to wait for the main dishes. Which were exceptionally cooked, well prepared, well assorted. This is a day-dream restaurant. The dishes were tasteful, special. Very good price for the quality you get, The waitress were kind and prompt to help

My wife and I had lunch here and had a choice between one cafe that was closer to the funicular or this one which had indoor seating with sliding glass doors that you could regulate to get the desired temp. as it was coolish. Great decision as it was a little more formal, but not stuffy. In fact, the wait... More

If you want a good value set price lunch in a lovely setting, pop in here and see if you can bag a table by the 'glass' balustrading. Lunch is very civilised, washed down with a glass of vino and some water and sit and take in the views of the lower town and the plain beyond (if you can... More

Nothing really to complain; the view is great (although the plexiglass is a bit 'blocking' the view, as it is very scratched), the service was nice and good, as was the food. A real good restaurant in Bergamo, and worth a visit to have a good nice lunch.

Nice place for a quick stop when you get off the tram. The staff understood our dreadful Italian and even had earl grey. Nice views, but unfortunately the Perspex glass obscures it a bit.
