We stayed in lovely B&B in the medieval old town part of Ventimiglia. First night there, we were recommended u Funtanin by our host, and Marco Polo ristorante for the next night. All the staff at U Funtanin were so friendly and the tasting menu so scrummy, we ended going back the next night too! Fish courses really tasty and... More

U Funtanin has been a favourite restaurant where we have had several delicious dinners. Thus our expectations were high when we had booked a table last Saturday. It was a marvellous summer evening at their lovely terrace with the panorama view of The Mediterranean. I was thirsty and asked for one of the most common Italien beers, Moretti. The servant... We chose this restaurant based on many Trip Advisor reviews, sadly we were greatly disappointed. My Scampi Tagliatelle was overcooked, the pasta starchy and the scampi soft and mushy. Additionally I was not given crackers to break the claws of the scampi. My partner chose a tuna dish with black rice, although another Tuna dish appeared. After a long day... More

A nice resto in the old town with a nice terrace and great, fresh food. Love it! Limited menu that varies a lot following the season and market offer.

Nothing to fault here. I had the selection of appetisers followed by homemade pasta with scampi and pesto. The prosecco and local wine were only €3 a glass. The bill for two courses came to €48. The service was excellent too. Worth a trip from Nice. It really was haute cuisine.

Great restaurant which takes from the local seafood traditions and infuses it with global trends. Very enjoyable if you are looking for something different in the area. Decent wine list too.

This place is well-loved by stuffy folks but it was not the place for us. I'm a foodie and found the flavor pairings so weird. Why is a seafood restaurant serving an appetizer with black beans, shrimp and guacamole? Coming from LA, if there's one place I don't want to try Mexican... it's in Italy. The service was inconsistent, bread... More

Lovely little restaurant in Ventimiglia Alta. Excellent service, unusual Ligurian dishes and very good local wines. Well worth a visit for some refined Ligurian food. Smart rather than casual.

I ve been to the restaurant with 12 other people . We all loved it. Everybody took different primi and secondo and they were all really good! Home made, fresh product and well presented. Nice and relaxed athmosphere and great hospitality. Also the wine list was accurate. We will all go back . I advice this experience to everybody!
