The meats are outstanding and we managed to find a top wine to complement it.. The staff and the owner are outgoing and helpful.

As a solo female traveller in my 60s, I quite often find that if I can be accommodated in restaurants I am usually tucked away so that I presumably don’t offend other diners. At Rossocarne it was quite the opposite. They asked two, presumably local...diners, if they would mind moving to a larger table and put me on theirs. The service was excellent as was the food and the atmosphere. It was fascinating watching the meat being prepared at the counter at the front of the restaurant. I am not a big meat eater but it was all prepared with such care and attention to detail that I will be choosing steak when I next visit. The steak tatare, tagliata and charcuterie was all prepared to order. This time I had the pasta al pesto, which was delicious and knocked pesto as we know it in the UK into a cocked hat! Obviously if you are not a meat eater then this restaurant is not for you. However if you are then this is definitely one to visit when in Genova.More

A very cosy little place with amazing meat options, including tartar varieties. Wonderful staff and atmosphere!

Great little find here in Genoa. After too much pasta and seafood we fancied a change and this was just the ticket! We tried the steak tartare which was amazing and then shared the steak florentine. They tenderise the steak next to you and show...you the steak before it's cooked. Only serve beer and wine, no cocktails but the beer was lush. Good central location and prices were reasonable for the quality of meat. Enjoy!More

Sitting in the restaurant writing this review. This is an excellent backstreet restaurant with local wine and food. It has a butcher working the nest which is taken to the kitchen for cooking or preparation. The staff are friendly. The pasta is good as is...the beef tartare and Simone the waiter is a star. Try the Rossese Ligurian wine. You will love this placeMore

I'm sure you all know that image we have from italian food: They love to cook, they're passionate about it and every bite you take is a new delicious world. This restaurant is taking excatly this image but makes steaks and tartare. We tried the...tartar sample which bring you 4 different ones and were already blown away! After that I had the costata which the service reccomended me and enjoyed it to the wine they also reccomended me. IT WAS DELICIOUS! The steak was perfectly marinated and cooked. I was in heaven and so will you be!More

Just spent month travelling around France/Italy and by my far the best steak I have had all month! If you are in Genoa come to here as you won't be disappointed!
