Great small restaurant perched on the side of the village wall. Staff is friendly and most helpful with local wine suggestions. Food was great with exceedingly generous portions. The view out over the village roofs and the Mediterranean is fantastic!

Absolutely recommend this place. We were blessed and showed up 10 mins after opening and thankfully got in without a reservation (place was pretty much full 20 mins after opening in low season!!) Our waiter was incredible - sad we didn’t get his name. Service...was 10/10, food was 10/10. We were going to eat in ND, but they closed due to the weather and I can happily say I’m thankful as I wouldn’t of found this gem of a restaurant!More

We had the most positive experience at the restaurant. We definitely recommend making a reservation as we stopped by the night before and there were only 2 reservations left for the next night. It was so worth it and obviously busy for a reason. We...had the cuttlefish ink (black) pasta with a variety of fresh seafood for two and loved every bite. It was also so filling so we did not feel the need to order an antipasto or 2nd course though the fresh seafood appetizers looked delicious. It was really a great value for the amount and quality of food we received. We did finish our meal off with tiramisu and a lemon custard dessert which were lovely! We highly recommend making a reservation for dinner here if staying in cinque terre!More

We went To Billy’s for my 70th birthday on the recommendation of or VRBO host. The seafood sampler was superb, as was the anchovies in lemon. However, concerning main dishes - the seafood pasta sauce was sparse and bland, the pasta with pesto, beans and...potatoes had literally one bean and one potato, (although the pesto was delicious), and the swordfish and truffle pasta had very little fish. The tiramisu was watery and unremarkable. A lot was missing in this much anticipated meal.More

Reservations required, but a few minutes after 7:00, they readily fill all tables not claimed. We had a wonderful Sea Bass for 2 after a delicious pasta. Food, service, view, and entire experience was exceptional.

This is our favorite restaurant in Cinque Terre! The food is fabulous, the service is great and the views are marvelous! It doesn't get any better than this! But beware --- if you can't handle steps, avoid it here!

Just wow…. The view, service and food make this place amazing, genuinely this was one of my top three meals ever. Yes it does take perseverance to get though, but try and book a table with a view. Simply beautiful.

We walked the steps of the hill after an already long day in Cinque Terre with the hope that we could have a late lunch at this highly reviewed spot with terraces and an endless view. We were seated in an isolated table for two...and we're instantly rejuvenated by the breeze. So we decided to declare that it was dinner time and proceeded to share a three course meal, sharing each course. Our first course was the prosciutto barrata, followed by the house specialty pasta with shrimp, concluding with bronzino fish. Add add an Aperol Spritz for my wife, a large bottle of sparkling water, and two coffees for a total of $80 Euro. Perfect!More

They very kindly fitted us in at 6pm as we had been unable to make a booking although we tried continually to call and message. The food was so disappointing after all the hype. I had veal scallopini, with lemon sauce and my wife had...the local fillet of fish special. Both were totally bland. My wife’s fish was full of bones and tasteless and my veal was over cooked and the sauce looked and taste like wallpaper paste. No hint of lemon and heavily congealed. We were both so disappointed. The waiter was shocked but made no effort to discuss etc. it seemed so out of character as friends and Tripadvisor etc had recommended it.More

A very intimate venue with fantastic views over Manarola. The antipasti and pasta was very good, but not “excellent”. Definitely worth it, for a date, and prices were very reasonable for the experience of eating in “Manarola’s best restaurant”. The only reason not to give...it 5 Stars was the service - which was “OK”, but in fairness they do 2 seatings a night and are always very full. Book well in advance!More

We were really looking forward to our visit to this restaurant but were let down by this meal. Having travelled Italy for 10 days and eaten at several restaurants, this was the only meal that we felt we shouldn't have bothered with. The view was...beautiful but we felt rushed. We had booked a table the day before, knowing that this restaurant in particular gets booked up quickly. When we arrived, our name tag wasn't on any of the tables and the staff just put us on a table that we guessed had just been a "walk in table". Both myself and my partner ordered the same pasta and this came on a large dish, "pasta for 2". This was delicious, however, the portion size was very small and we are not massive eaters. We had a look at the dessert menu and both decided that we would just go down into the village centre and get an ice-cream instead. As we were finishing our water, couples were stood on the steps, 5m away from where we were sitting, watching for when there was a free table. We felt incredibly rushed and although we had our table until 9pm. we left at 8pm. We wished the restaurant kept customers waiting for a table outside the restaurant so that diners didn't feel rushed. We won't be rushing back to this restaurant in a hurry.More

We were recommended this restaurant by our Airbnb host. Booking is essential, as early as you can. The view from the terrace is one of the best in the world, especially at sunset for dinner. Naturally they specialise in seafood, which was to my wife's...delight. She ordered the grilled fish and it came whole, unboned. She said it was nice. I ordered the beef tenderloin. I asked for medium rare, but no pink was to be seen, ie it was overcooked. On our bill was a charge for vegetables on the side, but they never came, so that was removed. We were also charged for water, which we did not order. That too was removed. These issues were disappointments which detracted from an otherwise delightful dining experience. We plan on returning to Manarola and to be honest I am currently 50/50 as to whether we return to this restaurant, view or not.More

First, I will preface this review by saying we did not have a reservation. That said, the staff had us and other walk-ins form a line outside the restaurant to wait for a table to open. Totally understandable, and we were totally fine with waiting....One of the employees passed out an appetizer to entice us to stay in line, which we thought was a nice touch. Unfortunately, we didn’t get to try it because some woman behind us pushed her way past us to get to it and the waiter just let her take it from us. She left the line right after doing that so it must not have been very good. After seating a few tables, the person I assume was managing that night (possibly the owner) told the couple in front of us in line that they were full and for them and the rest of the line not to wait anymore. He then proceeded to get into a LOUD and rude verbal argument with the woman after she asked for clarification - we had been waiting for about 45 minutes and they had led us on to believe that we’d be seated shortly. I get that a restaurant only has so much capacity, but they completely wasted nearly an hour of our evening. The only positive takeaway from this experience was that we burned some calories walking up the hill to this place. Anyway, we ended up dining at a restaurant in the main plaza that had a way friendlier staff and probably just as good food. So just go somewhere down there. Tl;dr: if you want rude service and food with a view, this is the spot for you. Why would you lead people on and waste their time if you knew all along you didn’t have the capacity?More

Hi. I apologize for just seeing this question. We called them. I don’t think we found a place to make a reservation online. There are 2 seatings. I would definitely recommend a reservation. Enjoy. It’s wonderful!
