What do you imagine when you are in Ireland? Tample bar! What do you expect when you are in Italy? Best wine & prosecco! Now try to combine Tample bar & 2-stars Mishlene restaurant and high cuisine. Did you do it? So If you are happy to be in Trieste and you are finding the real Italian spirit - let... More

We first thought 'too expensive and too touristy' but we were wrong!! First the service was first class and the food was special, different and delicious. The wines by the glass were very good (we live in Italy and drink lots of good wine) and tables were filled with locals, families and business people. We were looking for a cheap... More

I am a native New Yorker and live in Trieste. Bollicine is one of my favorite places in the world... for meeting girlfriends for a glass of bubbly and an elegant aperitif, a romantic dinner for two or a special meal with my mum. This is not your run of the mill Italian trattoria where you get served a pound... More

Splendid location. Professional and kind staff. Outdoor tables. Not cheap. good wine list. It is a good choice for a light and particular lunch.

We did not book but were made most welcome on arrival, the staff were very friendly and pleasant. The atmosphere was lively and local. The food was excellent and our waitress Beatrice definitely gave service with a smile. We will retun and would highly recommend you try Bollicine.

This is really the only restaurant we ate at while in Trieste that we would NEVER go back to - over-priced, very poor service, food was just "ok" at best. We made reservations for 8 people ahead of time and requested outdoors (as the weather was lovely) but they insisted on seating us at the couches immediately inside the doorway... More

Nice seafood here in the Piazza near Canal Grande. Casual atmosphere but food good quality. Portions might be smaller than some other places, but was really plenty of food. My partner had beautifully grilled fish and seafood...a mixture, with salad.

This modern wine bar with outdoor seating area was around the corner from our accommodation and just next to the Grand Canal. They specialize in local sparkling wines and seafood. The wines and the oysters were excellent and very good value. The overall menu was small but ambitious, and our dishes were perfectly fine, but not excellent. The servers were... More
