A great occasion to savour a surprising yet well balanced combination of delicate flavours from the 10 course tasting menu. Located within the historic centre of Modena, this contemporary dining space was crisp yet warm without the ostentatiousness that characterises similar restaurants. Staff were friendly and courteous, service good and food a pleasure in every mouthful.

Modena is known for food. This restaurant is not on the normal tourist list, but for someone that appreciates a superb meal, it is the place to go. all of the dishes are regional, creative and prepared with care and style. The service is careful, non obtrusive, but always attentive. An excellent dining experience and worth a return visit.

Great food with amazing service! The wine selection to follow the menu was perfect, a great surprise!

We took the 10 course menu. Only 4 types of wine, extreme small portions and even a big amount of sand in the mushrooms! Save some money & go to a REAL michelinstar restaurant.

The food was AMAZING, the combination of ingredients in each dish as well as the whole tasting menu were beautiful. The service was very good and it was a nice touch that the chef himself was explaining a couple of dishes at our table. We will come back and we would recommend it highly!

We had the historic tasting menu and were both delighted with the creative and delicious selections. The amuse bouche, a "seafood burger", was flavorful and perfectly done. Each course that followed showcased the best in quality and taste with innovative takes on classic ingredients. We had the sommelier do wine pairings and we were delighted with the choices. This was... More

My husband and I visited LÉrba del Re in Modena and we were looking forward to a good meal as we had found this restaurant in the Michelin guide. It was however a very disapointing experience. We got the wrong food and the standard was as going to a bistro/bar. The worst thing though was the service - they were... More

Having attended almost 160Michelin restaurants I know what to expect in these places. Sadly this place didn't even come close to a Michelin standard of food or service. We attended Modena mainly to go to osteria Francescana and Strada Facendo. These places far exceeded my expectations for food and service. Let's start with the first and main problem here at... I have eaten in many Michelin star restaurants in my time and I cook a lot myself so I know my way around food. L'erba deal re is a very pretty restaurant with good service and good staff, definitely up to standards in terms of a Michelin starred restaurant. But from there it stops. My first course of mortadella tortelloni... More

The restaurant is elegant but relaxed. I went there for dinner with my wife, since we are used to choose Michelin starred restaurants. That means we have some expectations when we eat in this kind of restaurants. Well, our expectations have been disappointed one by one. Table service rough and approximate. No amuse-bouche served to us. The courses we have... More
