Located in the Mercato di Mezzo, Baladin has a small stall in the ground floor market area dispensing six beers but then some reviewers seemed to have missed the proper Baladin Bar with an additional six taps located in the basement floor underneath the market...and with its two room space and seating for about 30 it is more comfortable place to drink a beer rather than trying to stand in the isles between the busy tables in the small cramped market space on the ground floor. Tried a couple of the Baladin beers including one from the Open range I believe and very good they were.More

This cafe situated in the Nercato di Mezzo has a good range of beers and wines. A place to stop and enjoy the market food experience.

Lovely craft ales in an excellent location. Spent a couple of nice hours sampling (very strong) beers of different varieties - in a market place. Well priced and in the vicinity of fabulous food stalls - pizza, seafood, salads. One of my favourite places in...Bologna.More

My partner bought a single beer from the small Baladin stall in the market and was served by the surliest and rudest young woman I have come across during our travels. She sat on a corner near the counter playing with her mobile phone for...a good 2-3 minutes before she bothered to walk over to the counter to take his order. Then ... the grumpiest service ever ... I watched in amazement as she barely acknowledged his existence, didn't even utter a word, I have never ever in all my born days seen anything like it. Sure, it's Sunday afternoon but if you don't want to work there then let somebody else who does! We ate just opposite the bar and were flabbergasted that every single customer was treated in the same manner, like it was a total inconvenience for her to get off her stool and actually do her job. Care factor was clearly zero. If I was the bar owner, I would be horrified to know this was going on. It's a shame as my partner said his beer was very, very good, we are here in Bologna for a week, but I would not return while this girl is serving here. Atrocious.More

Easily, a star standout when touring Bologna. Cool little pub downstairs at the food market, or an easy takeaway counter on the main level. If you can’t find what you are looking for, you don’t like any beer. Saisons, Pale Ales, Belgians, Barrel Aged brews....Excellent stuff.More

If you like to sample something different from the usual limited range of beers in Bologna, this is the place. They have a range of six to suit almost every palate, and they're about the cheapest you'll find around here.
