Loved this place. Interior quirky and cosy. Food was amazing especially the beef cheeks and the sharing platter of mixed starters. House red also lovely. Reasonable prices too.

Great restaurant in bologna. Food was delicious and the service was nice as well. The restaurant serves both the classical local dishes and some more original dishes. Might be relevant to book to make sure you have a seat.

We were recommended to go to La Montanara for dinner and have no regrets. The service is friendly, the place authentic and the plates generous. Definately recommended in the Tagliolini Cipolla, hone-made pasta with red onion sauce.

We were very lucky to get table here on Saturday. Place is very busy, better book table in advanced. Delicious starter with local ham, great lasagna and soup with tortellini. Love this place!

We were lucky to get a table (most were reserved) and even luckier that a party of three locals offered to move tables to accommodate us more comfortably. This set the tone for a great experience. The food is traditional Italian done with skill and service is friendly and swift. A good list of Italian wines as well. Altogether first... More

I enjoyed la montanara very much. It's a very pleasant restaurant with a very cosy atmosphere and most important delicious Italian food. The raw materials were fresh and and with high quality. Don't skip the ravioli soup and beef steak with balsamic vinegar.

Fabulous lunch today at La Montanara. This small intimate restaurant never fails to please. It has a small but eclectic menu and good wines. The torta salata with leeks and pancetta was fantastic - wafer thin pastry and a filling that melted in the mouth, beautifully seasoned and piping hot. The one dish you have to try is the tagliolini... More

I had dinner at this small and cosy restaurant (booking is necessary). The waiters were very kind and the food was simple but delicious, the ham and mortadella mousse in particular. The tagliatelle and the dessert were nice too. The price was more than reasonable. I'll visit this restaurant again and I'd recommend it highly.

This is a good, traditional, local lunch spot. You'll be surrounded by Italians doing their thing, not tourists, and the well cooked food is genuine and hearty. Recommended. Not flash but a good place to drop in.
