Pompiere is like many in Rome is on a dark street that is much more lively than it seems at first - and for the nervous, don’t worry. The area is safe and in the end romantic. Pompiere has a sprawling menu that covers all...More

I could just stop at the title of this review. Delicious. We also had a number of other dishes, which were all beautifully executed. It is a quiet place away from the crowds.

Amazing porcini fettuccine. We also had some kind of lemon pasta that was the best pasta dish I have ever eaten. Fried artichokes were perfect. Great service. My favorite restaurant in Rome.....so far.

Really amazing, local, regional seasonal food! Excellent and exceptional place. One of the rather rare spots where price and quality are more than OK. The cook knos about Roman/Jewish cuisine.

We went here because the restaurant across the street was booked and what a lucky thing for us. The food was amazing and one of the best meals we had in Italy. The peppercorn spaghetti was one of the best I've ever had and I'm...More

A friend with great taste (excuse the pun!) who lived in Rome for a year highly recommended Al Pompiere and, in particular, the lemon cream pasta. We ordered this dish and really enjoyed it. It's both light and filling at the same time with just...More

Remarkably, we (in a group) had similar dishes as the day before elsewhere - however not better and we prepared our plates the day before ourselves. After the pasta we all expected some meat or so ... no, dessert and a coffee. What a disappointment,...More

It's difficult to find a bad place to eat in Rome. However, touristy restaurants are on every corner. This place was recommended to us by someone who studied here. Definitely make a reservation and eat here! For antipasto: zucchini blossoms and carciofo alla giuda. For...More

We got this fine tip from our Hotel front manager. Is in the roman-jew ghetto area in Rome, the place as the many others were built inside of a antique historical building. The waiters are real professional waiters, they know all the dishes (because they...More

With three of Rome’s most beloved piazzas within a
five-minute walk of each other, the
Navona/Pantheon/Campo area may be the prettiest and
most picturesque area of the city. Join the beautiful
throngs hanging out in cafes, boutiques, art
galleries, and wine bars, or peek at a neighbourhood
museum or monument. If you want nonstop movida, the
streets here are busy with chic bicyclists and Vespa
