Meat platter was outstanding and the pasta dish or should I say pasta bath tub was so good!! Flavours of Italy in on huge bowl. Our waiter spoke really good English even in his home town so that put us at ease, for the amount...of food the bill didn’t shock us. Worth the plane fight out.More

La Villetta was superb, one of our best meals in the years we've traveled to Italy. That was after an inauspicious beginning with the staff watching football, dragging their feet a bit on drinks and menus. My wife wondered if we'd made a mistake - we've...stayed in the neighborhood for years and have many places to go. But things changed quickly. They were attentive and timely - and the restaurant, which is quite large with locals. As a diabetic, I limit Pasta intake, except in Italy. I enjoy Tonnarelli Cacio e Pepe - spaghetti tossed with black pepper, cheese and perhaps a dash of cooking water to emulsify it into a silky sauce. Cacio e Pepe, which requires precision, is frequently done at the table, a bit of show. La Valletta tossed the mix in the Kitchen and got it to the table at the right time. The Tonnarelli was perfectly al dente. The reaction around our table of four was the same whatever the main course.. Each dish was perfect- I tasted to be sure. This is a restaurant to go back to.More

Our driver from the airport Massimo M. recommended the restaurant for very good Cacio e Pepe. It was a great tip. This is a very good restaurant well worth the short taxi ride from the tourist zones. The food was great and the service was...excellent. Next time in Rome I plan to try some of the other menu items. Very well done La Villetta.More

Nice place with great food, everything is done as the Roman tradition asks. The staff was also nice. I would be glad to go again.

Walk in on New Years Day at 12:15 with only one occupied table. Asked if they were open, he said they were full. Sorry I wasn’t wearing my tuxedo from last night.

We were looking to get out of the crowded more touristy area we were staying and found this place after some searching online. We didn’t have a reservation and was told it was full. After a drink at the bar next door, we thought we’d...try our luck again and the hostess graciously accommodated us. This place is truly wonderful and filled with locals. All of our dishes were fantastic. My pasta came out pretty delayed after my husbands dish (which we didn’t care about) and our waiter kindly brought me a side order of meatballs to tide me over. If you are looking for a truly authentic experience, check out La Villetta!More

A classic and authentic vibrant Roman restaurant, ideal for family dinners or large group of friends meeting together. Better to make a reservation as it is quite busy with mostly locals and few tourists which is another advantage too. There is a wide list of...starters with the impressive anti pasti plateau and also a wide range of pasta dishes. The sizes are very generous so they might even be shared. The authentic Roman carbonara and Alla Gricia are worthy and memorable.More

Probably we arrived a bit late and the guys were looking forward to go to their siesta. Our pasta was not well cooked - maybe somebody prefers it to chew it. The staff was a bit distanced but OK.
