We ordered the set menu “Around the world and back in Rome” with an accompanying wine package. The food was good, but not excellent. The pasta dishes (gnocchi and ravioli) with the lamb were really good, but the rest a little disappointing. The sommelier did...More

The place is trying to emulate what could be called „modern Italian cuisine” and therefore is trying to marry modern approach with old rules. The place is situated in an old building (sadly, no direct car access and soil situated cobble stones leading to the...More

For my Rome splurge, I chose Glass Hostaria and I made the right choice. I selected the vegetarian tasting menu- each dish with a specific flavor and presentation. I particularly liked the dishes, perhaps because my appetite became sated at the meal went on. the...More

This was my first Michelin star experience, I went with a friend who has visited several Michelin star restaurants in US and Europe. The restaurant has had a Michelin star for several years, which is an accomplishment. I highly recommend you get the 9 course...More

What can I say? You don’t expect a Michelin star restaurant in these small alleys. Modern atmosphere. ( to) Loud music. Menu 9 courses , champagne included. Some really nice small dishes, others mwoa, disappointing desert in one course. Petit fours without asking if we...More

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable

Glass Hostaria restaurant in Rome’s Trastevere quarter is an eye-full for lovers of superhot modern design. Set in one of Rome’s oldest, most atmospheric neighbourhoods, Glass Hostaria’s fabulous high-concept dining space with its soaring ceilings, open staircase, part-glass floor, sleek seating and stunning gold-filled niches contrasted with raw brick pillars and original beamed ceiling has won accolades and international attention. The Italian menu under the direction of Cristina Bowerman is an inventive balance of then and now, with dishes like starter of foie gras with caramelized bananas (yes, that’s right) and brioche, first course of risotto with oysters, crème fraîche and crunchy artichokes, second course of pork filet with quinoa, smoked tomatoes and orange sauce, and dessert of chocolate cake with rosemary ice cream. The tasting menus are good value and the wine list has over six hundred labels on offer. Hire of this venue would make a superb site for stylish launches or sophisticated parties. The service is excellent and, after dinner, Glass Hostaria turns into a wine bar, so you can linger on and on.
