This place was the perfect antidote to a long haul flight full of screaming babies. It has a comfortable, understated feel about it: wooden chairs, tables and bar and simply painted walls. And best of all, the conversations around us were all in Italian. Our...More

A brilliant start to our Roman holiday! The bottle shop is impressive enough, but this place rocks. Great location, great wines & foods selections, great staff, great ambience. We started with an aperitivo spritz (of course), then we continued with two white and two red...More

As budget travellers, it was great to splash out on the Trimani. It's not cheap compared to other places, but worth it. They have a fantastic wine list, and the selection of cheese and meats are worth coming for even if you don't like wine!...More

Good place, good food, great wine, great cheeses, good service, nice atmosphere. If I wore Roman, i'd go back there now and then.

This place is about 15 minutes walk from Plazza Repubblica. Worth the effort to find it if you are in the area. The staff was friendly and service was good. A nice selection of wines and good variety of small plates. I bought two plates...More

This wine bar is hidden away from the hustle of the main attractions. We were welcomed by the owner who told us the bar was the first wine bar in the city. It opened 25 years ago. Ordered some glasses of red wine and an...More

The Trimani wine shop is a famous Roman establishment offering a fantastic choice of wines for fair prices. You may thus be tempted to try their little restaurant around the corner. Well, you can do much better in the neighborhood of San Lorenzo where there...More

We visited here for a pre dinner drink on my Dad's 70th birthday. Staff were really friendly and helpful and happy to discuss the wines with us in English. A real experience and one I would really recommend.

Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only
way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The
Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas
in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s
famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to
its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub,
Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot
vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up
