We have a thousand Mexican restaurants in Texas, but every time i go to Rome i HAVE to make a stop at Cucara!!!. They have the most authentic mexican food i have eaten outside of Mexico, the margaritas from the owner Danilo are truly the best i have tasted. I always look forward to having a truly unique desert- the... More

I've eaten here many, many times and being from Texas / growing up eating Mexican food, I can say it's worth a visit, particularly for long-term inhabitants. It's quite hard to find Mexican food of this quality anywhere I have visited in Europe. The owner is from Chiapas, and makes an excellent mole which isn't on the menu but is... More

It took me a little while to convince my husband to have mexican in italy, but boy are we glad we did! The food is fresh and delicious, the margaritas a must-have. They don't speak english and the menu is in italian, which is to be expected. We just took a guess and we weren't disappointed. Go if you can!

This is a cute, Mexican themed restaurant about 5 minutes from metro Line A, Cipro stop. A bit pricey, but close enough to Mexican to satisfy cravings for Mexican food (we are from Texas). Shrimp entree was good, cod tacos very good, served with cornmeal crusted french fries (tasty). Queso not authentic, but I think it's almost impossible to buy... More

We decide to go to this restaurant following the suggestion of a Mexican friend that has been living in Rome for a while. We started with some Melargaritas and some Nachos, both really good; probably the nachos portions were a little bit small for the price. The main dish were all really tasty and beware, the one indicated as really... More

Since we were looking for a mecican restaurant in Roma, after having read positive review on trip advisor and due to the position close to our house, we decided to go to Cucara Macara. We reserved a table at 8 pm, we went there and the restaurant was close at 7:50 pm, since it was getting closer to 8 around... More

We read good reviews on Tripadvisor, so my bf and i decided to go and had high expectations. We took a cab from Piazza di Spagna and charged us 60 euros. After we got back found out the cab driver took us to the long way and as people said on Tripadvisor, it was kinda close to the turistic area.... More

Lovely little place, great atmosphere, very clean. I live in Arizona, but havent found authentic Mexican food as the one Cucara Macara serves. Friendly owners, they speak English, Spanish, Italian. They dont serve the TexMex we get in the USA, such as burritos, etc. REAL Mexican Cuisine and the BEST Margaritas I have Had. Well worth the bus or taxi... More

This restaurant really took me by surprise. Owned by a Mexican, the food is the real deal. Aside from the food being top notch, the star of the show has to be the cocktails! If you go here you absolutely must have a Margharita. The locals tend to pack the place out from 9pm, so if you haven't booked a... More
