Great Argentinian (Meat) place in the heart of all those pasta, pizza places in the middle of Rome, and when you would like real food (Meat) come to this place with a great menu and good service!

This is an Argentinian restaurant in Rome. The beef stake with chips as well as the recommended Argentinian wine we went for was amazing. In contrast, the staff's suggestion for a desert turned into a culinary disaster of hard and overbaked pastry flowers filled with (was it Quince?) spread.

If you like Argentinean steak, this is the place for you, but beware; the 300g Ribeye is big! So is the 200g Fillet but you could have the 300g Fillet if really hungry but lots of other choices too. Nice restaurant, full of locals, which is a good thing! Best to book

Despite the fact that Rome is the capital of Italian cuisine, if you feel the desire to try something different, BAIRES might be a good choice. The owner is from Buenos Aires and all the meat you can eat is Argentinian too. You can see how they prepare the meat that is always delicious and perfectly cooked. Very good "empanadas"... More

Food great but felt as if our presence there was unwelcome. This is a well run restaurant but the personal touch we had grown to love from Rome was missing. No one spoke to us apart from to take our order. The staff stood behind the counter and watched us eat. No one asked if we enjoyed the food etc.... More

Had read reviews of Baires and had to go. The novelty of pastas and pizzas was wearing off and we found ourselves close during a heavy spell of rain! The shelter was welcome but the food was excellent. Steaks cooked to order and perfection. Nice selection of Malbec too.

After a two weeks in Italy we really had had enough pasta, pizza, bread... We looked for a place that did a good steak and this place did not disappoint! I had the ribeye which was cooked perfectly and my boyfriend had the mixed grill which came with 4 different steak cuts. Don't forget to try the cassava chips they... More

After a week of pasta and cheese, Baires was exactly what I needed, a bit slab of Argentinian protein. Argentine beef is amazing and this place did not disappoint. The steak was cooked perfectly, the chimichurri would make an Argentinean smile, the vegetables were cooked to perfection, not just an afterthought. In the end, I would certainly come back to...
