La Fraschetta is an italian restaurant that can be hard to spot and give notice if you just wandering the area. It was underneath our hotel and we found it by luck. We were welcomed by very friendly and kind staff and had dinner there....More

As a party of six, my friends and I were looking for a place to eat without reservations in Rome. We turned up and were luckily accepted into La Fraschetta. It appears to be family run and enjoyed by locals and tourists alike. The food...More

Sadly they do not serve pizza at lunch but their pasta was great. The portions are large enough for 2 kids (ages 11 and 8) to share one plate. My husband had the Amatriciana and loved it. I don’t recommend the tomato basil salad -...More

We had a delayed flight, just arrived and unpacked and we asked our receptionist to recommend a good pizzeria. La Faschetta was the choice and what a good steer it was. Crisp thin base pizza from a wood burning oven, not as big as many...More

Great local place, I go all the time. All the pizzas are amazing and the arbiatta is fantastic if you like spice.

It is not difficult to get pizza and pasta in Rome but it would be difficult to get it better than this. We enjoyed our first visit so much we went back. The pizzas are cooked in a wood oven and are great. A thin...More

This place was recommended by a local and could not have been happier with it. We stopped by for a late lunch and even though they were closing soon they let us in with no pressure to rush. We had a some rice balls and...More

Visited this restaurant for our first meal in Rome after being recommended by a friend, what a fantastic little find!! Full of locals, not in the slightest bit touristy and felt like a real little slice of Italy. We had trouble reading the lunch menu...More

Hubby and I were on a cruise and taking a break from our tour. Found this lovely small bistro on a side street and decided to try it for lunch. Loved the intimacy of the place. Had hoped for a wood fired pizza but the...More

We had one of the best pizza that we have ever tasted in our lives. And great red wine, in a very normal price. But the best was the Tiramisu!!!! Tasty, a explosion in the mouth. With fresh espresso and dark chocolate. Don't miss it.

Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable

Description
"La Fraschetta" di via San Francesco a Ripa è caratteristico, intimo e grazioso; propone un servizio cordiale e brillante, candidandosi senza difficoltà sia come ideale rifugio per una coppia in cerca di riservatezza sia per cene di lavoro e ritrovi amicali in una cornice neorustica e famigliare. La cucina, tendenzialmente vincolata alla nostra adorabile tradizione romana, spazia, con stile, dalla coda alla vaccinara agli spaghetti alla carbonara. Dolci sempre fatti in casa. Molto buona la carta dei vini; non mancano bianco e rosso della casa. Il locale è stato inaugurato nel 1976: lo staff proviene dalle esperienze di Ciceruacchio e Meo Patacca.
