We’ve been enjoying local food while we are in Rome. This little trattoria isn’t 500 meters from our hotel. We had well prepared food and plenty of it! We also shared a plate of grilled sea bass and half dollar fried potatoes. We walked back...to our hotel content. We’d had a great dinner for USD 25 per person.More
Great dinner at Romolo e Remo. We had Fiore di Zucca for an appetizer and it was good €3.50. It was something new to try and I am glad I did. I had the Carbonara Rigatoni €12.00 and it was el dente - maybe a...little harder than we eat at home but it was good. The lasagne was delicious €12.00. We tried the limoncello which was €4.00 and it was very good. Lorenzo was our server and he was attentive and spoke English to us! Would return again. Great value for our money.More
The best food we had in a while! I am going to crave this until we are back! Amazing local restaurant. We received our food quick. Prices are not excessive. The stuff was super friendly and patient, they wouldn’t turn guest away even tho they...came 10 minutes before closing time. Only good wordsMore
We visited this place for lunch after it was recommended by locals as one of the best restaurants in town. We were generally disappointed since (a) pizza was not available in the menu at that time, (b) prices were expensive and (c) food we tried...was nothing special except for the carbonara pasta which was very nice. We would not visit again.More
We were staying closeby and my research had already identified Romolo e Remo as worth a visit; this was confirmed by the owner of our accommodation. We first went on the Wednesday evening and had a table inside; a nice pizza for me and a...Tonnarelli allo scoglio (seafood pasta) for my wife washed down by half a bottle of the house wine. We were encouraged to return on the Friday but even though they were fully booked inside we sat outside and thankfully a still warm 4 Nov. I switched to Rigatoni con guanciale e carfioci (pig cheeks and artichokes) - delicious and I tasted the seafood pasta also delicious. We booked on the Sunday and opted for the same meals. It was great to watch the padrone who managed the tables - lots of photo of him around the walls - and the service was really good. Away from the popular area - maybe a 15 min walk from the Colloseum - and good value with a nice local atmosphere.More
Delicious food, had a lovely dinner here. Ordered their special restaurant sauce with pasta, which was amazing. Vongole good too Reasonably priced for the portions given. I recommend
We ordered some supplì etc and it was frozen in the middle so we left not wanting to try their pasta. Shockingly bad for Rome!
Great location with super friendly and awesome stuff! Food was delicious and the prize in total was great, too (42€). Had bruschetta, tasty pizza, Tagliata al rosmarino and Verdure grigliate! Really recommend, would come again <3
This place looked promising as it was full of local diners on a Sunday evening but we found the service below par, bordering on unfriendly. The wine was well priced but the food was average and an unwelcome hair in the main course was dismissed...by the server as not being his. Wouldn’t return.More
While living in Rome for 3 years, my family used to come to this place at least once a month, the food is so authentic and made with love and there is so much to choose from. the staff are lovely and the wine is...amazing. I really recommend the salsiccia and funghi pasta, its amazing. I will definitely come back to this place when I visit.More
We went twice so tried a few different things between us and all the food was amazing and for fairly cheap prices. It felt like a traditional, family-owned restaurant and the service was excellent. I would say this is one of my favourite restaurants. Tip:...It seems quite busy so I'd recommend arriving a bit before it officially opens at 7.More
Highly recommended. We were very lucky to get a table and eat here with no reservation. Everyone enjoyed their food and the service was top notch.
Went there with the family in October, everyone in the restaurant works so well that the next day we were coming back. Food is delicious, pasta al limone we could not find anywhere else. Great pizzas, home atmosphere and very quick serving - it was...one of the best moments in Rome, and the taste I would never forget. PS You better make reservation in advance as it is always full of hungry people waiting for their chance to get in))More
Avoid the meatballs they a partially raw and disgusting. I have searched and found no recipe of serving raw meatballs.
