Our waitress, Queen, was great. She spoke great English too. Pizza was terrible like cheap frozen out of a box. Ravioli was likely frozen with sauce from a jar. Chicken was dry like it had been first cooked 3 days ago.

Found this little gem hidden away near the colosseum. Lovely food, great service and reasonable prices. Recommended by locals for locals.

Typical Roman “trattoria” with good traditional dishes. We ate a delicious pasta and beans and we liked also the homemade desserts. Hard to find a parking space so it is better to go by metro, which has a stop near there. Average prices for Rome.

We arrived on a cold January night. Our Irish and Australian accents were welcome and we met with a feast from aperitif to antipasti to main desert and after dinner drinks . thanks !

Just a short climb up the hill from the Colosseum, and you find (what feels like) an authentic family run restaurant .... brilliant ! Doesn't feel at all touristy ! One of our party had eaten there a few times before and speaks Italian. We were a large group. We weren't given menus ... but the most amazing array of... More

We finished or tour of the Colosseum and headed up the hill to see San Pietro in Vincoli. As the church doesn't re-open till 3:00, we took in a great leisurely lunch at Hostaria Da Nerone. 2 of us had a version of Veal Parmesan, there was also a wonderful chicken dish with roasted red peppers and a past dish... Had a suppper leisure lunch there. The delivery to their doorstep of fresh veggies and fruit certainly showed in their quality. My Spaghetti and red clams was delicious. The atmosphere was as I wanted, service and time to enjoy Roma. Had creme brûlée and then surprise, waiter added a limoncello. Nice touch there Thanks for the service, Chris - Denver

This great family run restaurant is on a side street close to the Coliseum. The food was excellent - perfectly cooked pasta and veal! Delicious and reasonable.
