An absolute treasure that practices the warmth that so much defines Italians. Maria was superb, like a long lost aunt happy to see and spoil her newly found family. The food was exceptional which is a high remark considering most food around Rome is highly priced and not too good. We loved it so much we ame twice in a... More

I stopped there for lunch with my wife and daughter. We were warmly welcome and offered numerous Italian starters. The staff was most welcoming and the food was delicious. I strongly recommend the place.

We had our lunch here between visiting the basilica and the musem and it was absolutely perfect! We started with some antipasto misto, which was great considering the cheap price, and then had pizza and pasta. Both were fantastic as well. The pasta is even served in the pan that it's made in! The food was only part of the... More

We found ourselves outside the Vatican museum absolutely starving so we decided to have a look down a a couple of streets near and my goodness did we find a gem! We were greeted so warmly by a Italian lady (we got the vibes she was the owner) and then seated by another lovely Italian gentleman. As soon as we... More

My wife and I visited the restaurant for lunch after visiting the Vatican and seeing the great reviews on TripAdvisor. The food was good but unfortunately the staff was not friendly and we really think that is important. We expected more. Sorry :(

Maria and Davide were great hosts, the restaurant was clean, the service was great and the food was fabulous and for what we got very nicely priced. Plus it was just one block from Musei Vaticani

From the moment we were greeted at the door to the delicious pizza and free shots we received at the end, this place was a perfect end to our trip to Rome. You can tell everyone that works at this restaurant loves being there, we received complimentary soup, dessert and limoncella; and when we left them a tip they gave... More

We have just finished visiting Vatican City and were starved. We walked around the block to come upon this place. We walked in not knowing what to expect but boy were we pleased! One other reviewer of this place mentioned he felt like he wandered into a family reunion of sorts, that's exactly how we felt. The portions are HUGE,... More

We went here after a long morning exploring the Vatican museums... We really couldn't recommend this place enough! The food was delicious and the Romans who run the place were a lot of fun and very welcoming! Make sure you ask Maria for the suckling lamb cooked in white wine! Just delicious! Next time we're in Rome we'll go there... More

Family-run and very welcoming. Gave us free samples and tastings of several dishes and deserts, tangerines, and glasses of lemoncello, amaro, and several toasts with prosecco. Food was good quality and value for reasonable price. Sausage stewed in onions was outstanding. A nice neighborhood restaurant owned by a good patriotic family.
