Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

Everything was perfect, great service (Mimmo my guy), the food was absolutely delicious, a bit pricy but certainly worth every euro.

All I had to do was do a quick YouTube search and found this gem. Think you've had amazing pasta before? Think again. Super authentic and fresh. Alessandro and the whole team were super helpful and friendly. Will be back soon.

The food is really tasty, freshly made pasta and home made deserts. Rudy, our waiter was the best! Professional, he explained the dishes we ordered to us well, he was fast and with great sense of humor! The portions are quite generous, we were 3...of us, my mum and sister and didnt manage to finish all three pasta but of course we ordered tiramisu and cheesecake at the end to share, also excellent! Well done to the team!More

We ate pasta and it was perfect in this restaurant (five stars for it)! Our dinner would have been worth five stars anyway, but the hecticness of the restaurant and the huge rush of the staff disturbed an otherwise perfect evening. This was probably partly...due to the fact that our table was next to the front door and everyone was walking past us. A little advice for the staff: take a deep breath and calm down, the work will be done with less hurring and the general atmosphere of the restaurant will calm down considerably. Thanks anyway, we enjoyed the food immensely!More

I am usually suspicious of traditional restaurants as the ‘traditional’ element all too often ends up being an excuse for serving mediocre slop. I am delighted to say this was not at all the case at Osteria da Fortunata, where we were warmly welcomed by...friendly staff and given a table adjacent to two equally cheerful sfogline preparing fresh pasta by hand (and, graciously, they were very happy to pose for photos). We all opted for the carbonara, a Roman classic, with gorgeous, rustic strozzapreti that I had observed being made only moments earlier. The carbonara was fantastic: everything was fresh, perfectly seasoned, crispy guanciale, just the right amount of pepe nero. Ma che bontà! Whilst devouring our plates of pasta we couldn’t help but notice the delicious-looking involtini alla romana on an adjacent diner’s table and so ordered these to try too. And thank goodness we did: the tomato sauce they were served in was, again, perfectly seasoned, whilst the soffritto filling was redolent of celery and carrot and full of more flavour than I imagined it would be possible to extract from these humble vegetables. What a great experience… simple food but executed perfectly. This is what la cucina italiana (and indeed romana) is all about. Grazie a voi.More

Food was delicious, staff were very friendly, particular shout out to Emmanuel. Got us a table in side with no reservation and also moved us so we would have more table and leg room. We ordered two pasta dishes and told they were proper authentic...Italian cuisine and their most famous dishes, which did not disappoint. We also asked for the bill as we knew they were busy but told us to stay, relax and finish our bottle of wine. Many thanks to Emmanuel and the team.More

I visited here with my wife and another couple. The girls enquired about a moscato wine, the staff member brought them both out a taster. The server was quite rude when he returned to ask if they wanted the wine and didnt give any advice...on an alternative. I ordered a gnocchi dish with beef tail but the server brought me down a pasta dish, when I said it was the wrong dish they changed it. We seen a staff member clearing a table and the other staff member quite rudely roll up the table cover fast and shove it under his arm and push him away. Food was OK and some staff were rudeMore

Yes! Italians seem really open about allergens! This restaurant and almost every other restaurant have a whole page about allergens.

This place doesn't take reservations. Walk-ins only. If you go early, it should be easy enough to be seated. If not, there are typically long queues
