An inexpensive restaurant, with a very good choice of food. The staff were very accommodating. Our meals were delicious, the decor is very tasteful, all in all we had a few very good meals there

Went in with open mind thinking we may of found a nice little trattoria but we're very quickly mistaken. Having sat down we looked at the menus to see even basic veg in the city very overpriced. Thought ok, well we're here so we may as well try.......should of just walked out. Pizza was frozen and over priced for a... More

We were staying on Via Ravenna in Rome. We stumbled across this restaurant one evening when we were tired of walking. The owner let us in a little early, recommended some good wine, and helped us decide what to eat. We had stuffed olives, fish, & spaghetti carbonara. We followed that with some very good chocolate cake. Service was good... More

Visited this restaurant twice whilst on holiday. Really good, tasty food at good prices. Good portion sizes. Locals eat here as well. Like most other restaurants in Rome it does not open until 7.30pm.

Just visited this restaurant. When we arrived, it was 9:15 pm. A table was just clearing outside and we asked the female server if we could sit there. Her reply was that we should wait a moment. We waited for 10 minutes before I walked in to again ask if we could sit, as I assumed that we'd been forgotten,... More

The owner was very honest and open when we arrived a Sunday evening and his "stock level" was low. He did prepare some very good pasta dishes and especially the lasagne was terrific!

I have eaten at La Lanterna on several occasions, and have never been disappointed, the food is fresh and tasty, and the service efficient and friendly. Great to be away from the hordes of tourists!
