We made the trek across Rome because of an Anthony Bourdain episode. Was it worth the the 45 euro round trip taxi ride? No ... the food was good, but certainly not worth the trek. The tables are stacked in this very tiny room and the Porchetta is served cold. The staff was very friendly. This location is not good... More

I was totally looking forward to eating here even though it's in a sketchy area...who cares! Unfortunately, the experience fell flat with their rock hard bread, cold porchetta, over salted prosciutto, bland buffalo mozzarella, average cacio e pepe, and non-existent service. Their only redeeming dish, pork jowl carbonara, was absolutely amazing...one of my foodie highlights in Rome. It took over... More

This was recommended by a friend for great, authentic porchetta, and did not disappoint. After walking around Pigneto all day, we were hungry and ready for a big meal. Roast pork, homemade pasta (with pork), chicory and a carafe of wine hit the spot. For good measure, we got two porchetta sandwiches to-go that we ate for breakfast the next... More

We went to Rome with the "Layover" of Anthony in mind. So we went and searched for the Porchettoni di Pigneto only to find out they have changed their name to Trattoria Pigneto. The porchetta di piatto satisfied our taste buds - as expected. It's really good with a bottle of Peroni. We will definitely be back for a bite... More

It's like he's a physician so listen to what he's recommending you try. I've tasted several Pastas, the porchetta, the odds and ends of antipasto and the vino. Drinking isn't compulsory but it's a good drop if you like one.

This was a truly authentic Italian feast of PIG!!! Alessandro was incredibly welcoming, kind, and gracious to our party of six Americans. We had the porchetta appetizer (lardy, rosemary laden, succulent and delicious). We also had the roast pork for an entree, and also the sucking pig, both incredibly well-cooked, succulent and balanced with garlic, olive oil and rosemary. the... More

I was there alone for a lunch in September. Sat outside in the sun. Had a couple of slices of porchetta, and then a tonnarelli cacio e pepe. A couple of glasses of the house wine. One of my best lunches out of ten trips to Rome. Really cheap too. Need to go back!

Saw Anthony Bourdain eat here on his 36 hours in Rome. I was staying w/in walking of Pigneto neighborhood and had a very good meal. I ordered the porchetta, 300 grams/.66 pounds and it was probably enough for 2. Not fancy, more family style and communal tables inside, but more than pork. Pigneto is worth the visit w/ many restaurants... More

I've spent more than 10days in Italy. I met the most friendly staffs here. They know I didn't speak Italian they were more friendly to me make sure I understand the menu. And they gave me the wifi password once I got in to the restaurant without me asking for it. Unfortunately their food didn't impressed me. The idea of... More
