This is a great restaurant - we ate there for 3 out of the 4 nights we were in Rome. The staff are very friendly and the service is good. There is a wide menu which is very reasonably priced - great bruschetta, pasta and seafood dishes. The house wine is also good. Although it was March when we visited,... More

Looked it over TP and said to give it a try. Mediocre , at best. Incredible, but they can't even make a decent coup of coffee. In italy. It's like not being able to swim if you leave near the beach. The only good thing, was the waiter. The most polite and helpful italian i have ever met.

Best restaurant tucked away on a side street near Piazza Navona and Pantheon.. Daily specials are amazing and the carbonara is my favorite! Great house wine too! Highly recommend!!

Last year this was our favorite restaurant in Rome ... so we came back and it didn't disappoint. In fact so good we came twice this trip. We had an amazing waitress. We were greeted both times with champagne. We loved the buffalo moz and Parma appetizer. We had the black truffle pasta (every person both nights ) and it... More

We seldom spend most of our holiday dedicated to dining at just one restaurant, but La Tavernetta 48 fully justified this loyalty. Without doubt this was the very best restaurant we discovered during our week's stay in Rome. The quality of food is superb - a few examples would include the taglioni with truffles and ham, also, fried artichokes, tuna,... More

Very good food with a quiet and cozy atmosphere. Staff were very nice and helpful. The food was very good. Not very big portions - but not too small either. Only tip is to order all dishes at once (Antipasti, Prima and Secondi) since you otherwise have to wait quite a long time.

The restaurant is located a little bit off the most touristed areas, but it is definitely worth a visit. Very nice and friendly staff. My wife and I got very good pasta primo courses and a very tasty beef main dish. Great Italian red wine. Good value for the money and recommended.

Awesome pasta and seafood. Great friendly waitress. Had a delicious meal in a nice setting. Gotta try the home-made pistachio gelato for dessert. Can't find a pistachio gelato as good on the street at any gelateria...yet. Only complaint is I didn't care for the Tiramisu. It was more like a mousse. I guess I like the traditional one best. It... Between our in-laws and us, we have been to La Tavernetta 48 over a dozen times in the past 8 years on visits to Rome. The food is consistently excellent, and service always warm and engaged. The lunch prix fixe is especially good, with primo, secondo, water and wine for 15 Euros. If you're around the Pantheon, forego the more... More
