Stopped for a late lunch after a busy day of shopping in Rome. As an Osteria they have a limited menu - we had a choice from four antipasti and five first plates. But the choices were quite diverse so it didn't seem limiting. To sum it up, the quality of the food was outstanding with my wife and I... More

Visited this restaurant during my Europe trip exploring all the best restaurants in Italy starting from Milan, Rome, and ending in Florence. We were recommended by our hotel concierge to try out Osteria Bonelli if we are really looking for great authentic Italian and we were not disappointed at all. The food and level of service was impeccable and we... More

After a tour of the catacombs di San Callisto, we stopped near the great aqueduct for lunch. Service was great. We enjoyed the daily special of pasta, pork and mushroom with an order of ravioli. Of course we enjoyed a half liter of house red wine. Good quality food and tasty wine. All for a low price. Our server spoke... More

my friends and I all regarded this as a highlight of our dining in Rome. Can't wait to go back, since the last time we were in Rome (for over six weeks), we went three times.

If you want an authentic Italian meal outside of the tourist areas of Rome, try Osteria Bonelli. Simple pasta dishes were absolutely delicious. Menu is in Italian on a chalkboard and staff speaks very limited English, but you can order almost anything on the menu and find a winner. Best of all, the prices are an incredible bargain for the... My wife and I didn't, but we got there right as they opened and managed to get a table. However, a lot of the tables had already been reserved when we got there. Also, its a bit of a treck out there (the plus to this being its not typical tourist fare). Obviously they also speak less English due to... More

Definitely go here for the pasta, worth the trip to the outskirts of Rome. Such soft gnocchi, I had a beautiful home made ravioli with fungi, and my husband had an amazing red sugo with pork crackling. Even our kids closed their eyes with each bite! The deep fried calamari and shrivelled deep fried shrimp were a disappointment, but we... More

Though a bit out of the town, this restaurant was really a nice surprise and a great culinary experience. It also seems a place where the locals go with their friends and families, so one more reason to give it a try. The menu is written on a black board without prices attached but the costs turned out quite reasonable.... More
