Wonderful, I really enjoyed my meal here, the pasta dish, was cooked to perfection and very tastey. Outside and inside seating, on a quiet side street. So good, I returned 2 nights later and got stuffed!

This is a really good restaurant. Locals eat here, so it has a genuine Italian feel. The staff is nice. I had a calzone, and it is one of the best I have tasted. Apple tarte for dessert was lovely!

Cute restaurant with good, authentic Italian food, and welcoming staff. My husband and I visited one evening as it was recommended by our Airbnb host. We did not regret it and enjoyed it very much.

We visited this small neighborhood pizzeria om the recommendation of our airbnb host. Very glad we did - the food and service were excellent. Couple of hints - the suppli (Rome's local take on arancini) were perfectly cooked with just enough mozzarella and come highly recommended, and the quattro formaggi pizza was on point with delightful artichoke - yum! We went here twice in our week-long visit to Rome. They serve the best Wurstel Pizza I've ever had and would recommend the service and the prices to anyone.

We stumbled across Galilei unexecptedly as It was around the corner from our AirBnB. It was late and no other restaurants were opened nearby. My husband and I had low expectations. It is an older restaurant adorned in vintage decor; kind of reminded my of my grandmas house. Also, it's cash only---so keep that in mind. He ordered the Margherita... More

Our family of four happened upon this place wandering around near Trevi. The pizza counter drew us in and we're very happy to report it tastes as good as it looks! The beer was a nice accompaniment.

Place was recommended by our host in Italy, came for dinner just as they opened. It was a good meal where we all got pizza. Thin crust and extremely generous with the filling. The recommended white wine was good too.

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Esquilino
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
