This is a great spot to come if you are a english speaker. You get a generous portion of food at a modest price. The wait staff was a little off putting and inattentive.

After a long day on our feet we wanted something with a flavour of Italy before we headed back to our hotel. It looked busy with locals and tourists alike so we we’re enticed in. Pros- For €33 we had two decent pizza’s, a carbonara, 3 x tiramisu desserts (very tasty!), a glass of wine, a beer and two coffees.... More

After visiting the St. Peter we came across this restaurant. The food was not special, but had a good price-quality ratio. Each of us had a drink, pasta/pizza and a dessert for 10 euro's per person. Also nothing special to note about the waiters.

I went to this restaurant when I arrived in Rome and after resting in the hotel. We wandered off to the street which had restaurants and street food and some guy asked us if we want to eat. So, he said that the food is good and the price is not bad at all and we looked at how many... More

Spent all day at the Vatican roaming and needed a place to hangout. We had lasagna and fettuccini and they were both delicious.

I typically only submit positive TripAdvisor reviews but I feel compelled to warn others so they don't make the same mistake as my husband and I did eating here. We stopped in here on a Friday night after a full day tour of the Vatican and Sistine Chapel - tired and hungry and only a few feet away from our... More

We had dinner at Trattoria Ciao. Service was a little slow, but we really enjoyed the seafood spaghetti.

Asked if the pasta was homemade and they said the fettuccine and gnocchi were home made fresh every day. They were wrong. The gnocchi were the worst I have tasted. We also had the veal scaloppini and that was awful. The waitress who took our order never came back to the table to ask if we needed anything. When we... More

Restaurant is located at an excellent location that's full of eateries. The place is quite busy. Pizza is ok but the pasta is much better. Quite big portion and good price. Service is not bad too.

A nice place with low noise and okay food. The pizza was rather disappointing with its nearly raw dough and too much tomato sauce... The pasta on the other hand was way better! In short; go for the pasta and not pizza!

Staying in Vatican / Borgo

Neighbourhood Profile
Vatican / Borgo
Frocked priests, colorful Swiss Guards, insistent souvenir shop owners, flag-waving tour guides, and pilgrims from around the world. This is the Vatican and Borgo, Rome's most recognized neighbourhood which acts as Vatican City's front yard. Aside from the souvenir boutiques and a few food spots, the only business conducted here is papal. In the daytime, the tiny medieval sector bustles with holy activity, as visitors vie for elbow room, or stand in line for a visit. Once the sun sets, the neighbourhood is transformed into a quiet and picturesque hamlet.
