I started with a first course of pasta with porcinis and it was delicious. For the secondo I tried the chicken cacciatore which was wonderful. Forget the red stew you think of in Italian American restaurants in the states- this was done in a white...More

Meal was good, not great. Portions were on the smallish side. Linguine vongole was good. Eggplant was OK. Bottle of house wine for 8 Euro is reasonable.

Best pasta we tried in Rome was at this restaurant. It was a great meal, but beware, the space is small and can get very loud.

We found this restaurant using the reviews in Tripadvisor and were not disappointed about the food. The dishes are well presented and very tasty and I would have given a five star review except that we had quite a long wait for our main course...More

Found this restaurant through an internet search and decided to chance it - so glad we did. We enjoyed this restaurant so much that we actually ate here a number of times - both lunch and dinner. Why? because the food and service were great....More

Hands down my favorite restaurant in Rome. Excellent salads to start and not just an insalada mista. They have an excellent spinach salad with walnuts, apples and Parmesan and a chicory salad that received rave reviews from the two in our party who had one....More

We found this place through a friend's recommendation - we called ahead to reserve a table for 4. There was a mix-up with the reservation but it was not a big deal as we got a drink at another place and came back an hour...More

This restaurant was recommended to me by a friend who had visited Rome many years ago. While it took longer than expected to find (we enlisted the help of a nearby business) it was well worth the search. First, the atmosphere is wonderful; my husband...More

Well hidden in a small side-street in Rome, you have to know where to find it. Also you need to book in advance - otherwise you will not get a table. But it is absolutely worth the effort: Professional and smooth service, excellent food, and...More

We were soaked from a major thunderstorm and tucked into this warm and cozy restaurant for lunch. They seem to cater primarily to tourists, so be prepared to be addressed in English or whatever your language is. The house wine is great and reasonably priced....More

Frantic fashionistas, pedicured politicos,
goal-oriented tourists, and on-the-go locals cross

the city’s loveliest sites—a 2nd century column, Belle
Epoque shopping centre, and a magnificent Baroque
parliament building—Colonna is not just another pretty
face, but the cosmopolitan eye of Rome’s cultural

I had a hard time accessing their online reservation, but calling them was very simple. They speak English and will have no problem understanding you.

Hi, Beth! 6:00 PM is awfully early for dinner, in Rome. As a matter of fact, Osteria del Sostegno's evening hours go from 7:30 PM—11:30 PM, Monday through Saturday, closed on Sundays. Good luck!
