Tripadvisor’s approach to reviews
Before posting, each Tripadvisor review goes through an automated tracking system, which collects information, answering the following questions: how, what, where and when. If the system detects something that potentially contradicts our community guidelines, the review is not published.
When the system detects a problem, a review may be automatically rejected, sent to the reviewer for validation, or manually reviewed by our team of content specialists, who work 24/7 to maintain the quality of the reviews on our site.
Our team checks each review posted on the site disputed by our community as not meeting our community guidelines.

It was a tasty stop for a sandwich and a glass of wine - the red house wine was amazing. The sandwich was very filling and delicious. At first we could not figure out where to order as it is a store and an eatery,...but besides that experience, food, and wine were really great.More

The sandwiches were not good at all. Too much of everything: cheese, meat. Made all of us feel nauseous after couple of bites. They were huge and expensive. 32 euros for the first 2 sandwiches. And not to mention that the lady that served us...got really rude when I did not understand her when she talked to us in Italian. No effort to use English until she finally said “hot?” as she got really annoyed. Go elsewhere.More

Some reviewers complained about the line to access Antica. For me the line was well worth waiting for the excellent sandwich. Anitca was over the top for food, service because of the lines and crowd was brusque and necessary to get the hungry masses fed....I was there on an extremely busy Saturday but the lines were no different than other venues in Rome. I look forward to returning to Rome and Antica will be on my list of todos to visit.More

We were nearby visiting The Pantheon and found this deli. They have an amazing dispaly of hanging meats like salami. I was attracted to the porchetta and had a porchetta roll with a glass of white wine. It was fresh and delicious.

Absolutely fantastic Italian sausage and cheese house! The atmosphere, Italian taste, and the happiness waiters are very interesting gourmet attraction in the historic centre of Rome.

We came to enjoy a sandwich and waiting in a very long line. Which is fine, but we arrived to order and I asked the lady if she spoke English. The man in front of me was Italian and was able to order the meat,...bread, and cheese he wanted. When we asked about the meats, we were met with “there is a long line guys just choose from the ones premade.” I was in shock. We waited just as much as anyone and I truly believe that beginning in English was the difference. All the locals around us ordered whatever they want but the lady was impatient with us. Anyways, we ordered and when she came to give us the food, I told her that we waited as long as anyone and that for the future, a line doesn’t mean people cannot order what they waited for. She said “don’t do this guys” and promptly left. The sandwiches were good but the encounter sucked. Guess we should start with broken Italian first.More

Hands down the best sandwiches we had in Roma! We also picked up some packaged pork belly and cheese to take home with us to make carbonera post trip. They were so helpful and friendly. Wish we had lifetime access to this place!

More deli than restaurant. The porchetta panini was probably the best single thing I ate in Italy. Take it to go and enjoy the view- right near the Pantheon.

We went there because of an Italian friend's recommendation and it was definitely worth it. The whole experience was amazing. Authentic salumeria italiana, splendid tagliere of cheeses and homemade cold cuts, delicious red wine and very funny and friendly waitress. Not to be missed! When...back in Rome, I will definitely go there again.More

On Saturday my cousin and I were visiting the Pathenon. We see the beauty. And get hungry for lunch. We saw this small entry to this, nothing short of an exaggeration, this cave of salami. Cheese. Prosciutto. More cheese.more Salumi. Then after the tastings offered,...you can head into the back. There you meet the owner Eduardo. The coolest thing in the building. His passion foe excellence and product is impeccable. It was an amazing experience with our server with her offerings and insight. Eduardos daughter came over to show off the fine meats and cheese they offer with a special tasting for us. I can't offer this place a better way to others. Truly a visit to Rome won't be the complete without a visit!More

This is a takeaway. It opens daily at 8am but sandwiches become available at 10am and run out early afternoon. They are expensive but possibly the tastiest we have ever had, even better than those well-filled American ones. The leftover ones (we bought too many...for travel) were just as good the next day, which we have never before experienced.More

Everyone here was so kind and helpful. I ordered a Pizza Romana Ripiena to take away. The young man behind the counter was so patient with explaining all of the different variations to choose from. It was heated up for me and carefully wrapped in...white butcher paper. The young lady who rang up my purchase helped me choose a couple of cookies for dessert. She recommended the ones rolled in pistachios. OMG. Probably one of the best cookies I have ever had. The combo of the saltiness of the pistachio and the sweetness of the creamy cookie inside was incredible. The Pizza Romana was also delicious. Tomorrow is our last day here and we are going to make a special trip back to buy more cookies. That good!!More

This place was incredibly worth my money! Yes the price is high but you can’t get anything better than this in my opinion! The focaccia with porchetta is absolutely amazing, the explosion of taste in the mouth… Is not a tourist trap, is a very...simple place with simple people that try to get the best products and give a taste to people that want to taste Rome at 360 degrees. I am Italian, i am from Parma and i have tasted a lot of different prosciutto. This here…gave me a last taste of Rome before flying back!More
