We tried this place based on a locals recommendation, and so glad we did! There is nothing fancy about this restaurant, but the experience is quite authentic. If you enjoy fried fish this place is a must, otherwise keep on moving. The fundamental choice you...More

So they have 1 main dish - fried cod. Its so tasty. Their sides are good both in size and taste. The staff look like they are having fun with the quick turnover and busyness. Wish we could have gone back a 2nd time but...More

The food is pretty good, but do this for the experience. Go late on a Friday and eat outside. The restaurant pulls tables out into the small piazza in front of Chiesa di Santa Barbara and the buzz in this small space is wonderful. Lots...More

This restaurant was so good (takeaway fried cod for 5 euro) that we stopped by one night, loved it so much we came back the next night, and loved it so much we ordered some to go! If all you want is takeaway cod you...More

The simplicity of this place is what draws me to it. Their menu is short and to the point and they do those few dishes well. The tradition is to go to the back of the shop to the kitchen and get you take-away cod...More

Excellent Fried Cod for affordable price (4.5 Eur/piece). Very traditional food and well prepared despite being in a super touristic area. It's possible to eat inside, however I'd reccomend this as a take away option: enjoy the beautiful surrounding while in Rome!

My husband and I ate here in June on our honeymoon, and we still talk about it. The decor, menu, and ambiance are all no-frills, but they sure know how to fry up some cod. We loved the cod, of course, cheap table wine flowing...More

This is an incredible place. It is no frills and fantastic. The primary (only) entree is the fried cod fillets. They are extraordinary. I highly recommend sampling the anchovies in some way shape or form, either with butter on bread, or as part of one...More

Honestly, I don't understand the baccala hype. Glad I tried it for historical and cultural purposes, but threw away most of my meal. Average British fish and chips is much better to me than this highly rated baccala establishment. Most disappointing meal of our stay...More

Delicious and perfectly fried salt cod is the mainstay of this institution. For appetizer, get more fried food (zucchini or anchovies) or go healthy (beans). Add a choice of typical Roman salads as a light side dish. Desserts are great! Service is fast. Arrive early...More
