As others have noted, this was a tour group welcome meal for us. Favorite dishes were the bruschetta ( tomatoes were so flavorful and juicy!), prosciutto with melon, and the sausage/mushroom pasta. I could have stopped eating right then, but wanted to be polite. Lasagne, roast pork with potatoes, and gelato followed. Every fifteen minutes or so the musicians would... More

On tour this was our welcome meal and welcome it was. There was a dish with rigatoni & sausage & mushroom that made me want to cry, so good. Our waitstaff was on point, anticipating our needs and meeting them, thanks Anna. We even had entertainment.

I could recommend the special deals (starter + first + second + dessert). I had a good beer and my girlfriend some white wine. Everything was fine, the waiter was friendly. We would go again.

The food here is absolutely disgusting. I had the ravioli with ricotta and spinach. The pasta was rubbery and the ricotta tasted like powder. Yuck. Definitely a tourist trap. I can't imagine actual Italians eating this stuff 🤢The inside is very nicely decorated, though.

Absolutely delicious and entertaining meal. This was our 1st dinner in our Taste of Europe trip that starts in Rome. Ristorante Mino served a 5 course meal with house white or red wine. The bruschetta and orosciutto with melon was so good as well as the pasta and meat dish that followed. The gelato with fresh fruits washed all the... More

We experienced a wonderful group dinner with an attentive and friendly staff at Mino Ristorante in Rome . A must have is the mushroom pasta appetizer, which had a rich sour cream broth and well prepared mushrooms. We also thought the bruchetta was outstanding and we enjoyed their roasted pork entrée. The lasagna was good, if not remarkable. For dessert,... More

We had a great night when a group of us went to RistoranteMino for dinner. The staff really looked after us and we had a fantastic meal. Because there were about 20 of us in the group we were treated to some live music by a duo (Piano Accordian, flute and vocals) and some tomfoolery by one of the waiters... More

We found this restaurant as we were staying near to the Termini and thought that it looked interesting with indoor and outside seating. The staff were excellent and very friendly and helpful with good English and all with a great sense of humour. The menu was extensive and consisted of a wide range of traditional Italian dishes. We found the... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
