We have been here with a friend who lives in roma and she was quite ok with our choice but at all it was that good. We had bruschetta which was ok but not outstanding and for primeri a hand made spagetthi with peccorino and black paper which was good. For secondi I had a pizzi siliciana which was that... More

We went to Vecchia Roma without reservation and got a table right away, the Staff was very friendly and recomended their favourites on the menue. We ordered Two types of pasta and they both tasted delicious! Unfortunately I got mine 25min later than my boyfriend got his so the timing wasnt very good. Anyhow, pasta was awesome, wine was great... More

Loved this restaurant. It's always great to find a place where the locals go. This was the place. The food was fantastic.

Vecchia Roma is quaint, maybe even a little trite--you could find the red and white tablecloths in Jersey--but it's really a great little restaurant. With a TV on the wall and Roma sports memorabilia on the walls, it's the closest thing to a sports bar that you will find in Rome. I enjoyed watching the Milan-Torino game, which was the... More

This was one of the few restaurants willing to take us without a reservation, and that was by luck, a couple just got up. The service can be a little slow, but once they take your order the food is absolutely delicious. There was rarely an empty seat in the place. The house wine was very good and I loved... More

Initially... when we were basically shoo'd out the door, we thought it was because they were full. Table after table left.. and it wasn't until the squashed table in the furthest corner at the back was free that we were seated. It was the worst service I've ever had, ever. The waitress was actually snarling and clearly found us awful..... More

Can't remember a more disappointing dinner in Italy. First came a Lasagne which was bland with mostly bechamel and cheese. After some time the other primo arrived - Amatriciana, which was extremely salty. And then soon after the secondo, ossobucco, was brought, even though the primi were not finished.... Forgotten were the potatoes as a contorni. They came after we... More

We managed to get in on the third evening, because there is qeue usually outside! We ate 2 evenings there and the food was really good and the price - cheap for Rome. Starters, pasta, wine, main course and desert - 35 euro! The food was better than other more expensive places that we visited. One advise - go there... More

From the start we was not greeted correctly and got left to wait around while we had no idea what was going on, the wine was cheap and tasted vile! We ordered salami and bruschetta and it come in a basket full of half eaten Salami... the bruschetta was bone dry and flavourless. Mains we had bolognese and lasagna the... More

Popped in for dinner on a rainy night after a long day travelling. Service was basic but ok. Food and wine excellent value and visited again for lunch. Restaurant packed with locals on both occasions always a good sign. So if you're ooking for some good basic food at great prices would certainly recommend.
