Went here with a co worker and his family cause we was tired of pizza and pasta. Food was really good and authentic. The owner and rest of the staff were very nice making everyone feel like family. It's a bit pricey but well worth it. I will be a regular guest. Would definitely recommend this place.

This place is just ok to experience a Latin flavor. You can try tostones, ceviche, yuca frita, arroz, frijoles and other type of Latin food. Prices are fine and the service is OK. From my point of view there is room for improvement. They also have latinoamerican beers! Overall it was good.

This was on our last day of our Italian and we just happened to pass this place on our way to pick up some bags from the baggage drop location "bon bags". We were craving some spicy food and the food served here was just what we needed. We settled for some Nastro Azzuros which were accompanied with some corn... More

I don't like going to restaurants because I had the misfortune that in every restaurant in many EU countries that I've been to they always, in my opinion, overcharge very scarce meals. I stumbled on El Norteno in Roma by chance and was blown away with the tastiness and richness of the dishes. If you get houngry in Roma and... More

The food was excellent and I also liked the laid back atmosphere! The portions were also very generous.

Let me begin by with my references; born an raised in Southern California specifically in the Los Angeles area where there is zero shortage of delicious food from all over the world. That being said my wife and I are crazy fans of Mexican, El Salvador, Honduras and now Peruvian food. I ordered a seafood dish which was good (fresh... More

Where to start?!? We ordered 3 mains and 1 starter/tapas to all arrive at the same time, the tapas arrived first, it was lukewarm, one of the mains arrived after a while when the plantains were already cold. After another while the second main arrived, this was a soup but again it was cold, we had to send it back... More

Our Peruvian friend took us to this restaurant near Roma Termini Station. It was everything he promised, with genuine Peruvian dishes well prepared and very reasonably priced. I selected the Seco de Cabrito. Delicious! The family requested Ceviche and Lomo Saltado. Everyone was satisfied. It is not pretentious, but a pleasant location on a tree-lined street just half a block... More

The food is very authentic Peruvian; the ceviche is absolutely classic. But my ceviche mixto was over spiced and the plate was swimming with a soupy marinade. You may not be able to get better Peruvian food in Rome, but it does get a lot better than this. Service average for a Friday night, pleasant, accommodating, friendly. Not a bad... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
