Had a average meal here with my daughter. The menu is short along with the service. Not that its poor, but a smile would be nice. The food was just average and the price was high compared to other local places i have eaten. It...More

We had read about the size of the restaurant and made a point of making reservations for dinner. We're glad we did. The restaurant is a one-man show. Service is attentive but laid-back. The food is quite basic but very tasty. We had: Ravioli ricotta...More

I think too many tourists expect tourist restaurants. This is not one and the food is the kind that Italians eat at home. Indeed, there were two elderly single people who lived nearby, who come here each evening to eat - so simple home cooking,...More

We visited his little gem twice during our recent stay in Rome. Only 7 tables in the restaurant, so book ahead if you wander there for dinner. We had lunch twice and were blown away by the real Home cooking you will get here. Small...More

When in Rome do as the Romans do.....or don't. I really thought this was going to be an authentic experience - I suppose it was. Staff were brash, decor was dated, house wine was awful, menu was ambiguous, atmosphere was absent, food was iffy.

It's a pitty we have no photo, as the food was too good to take a photo, we could not wait! It is very simple, not fancy but true local place with true local food. When we travel this is what we are looking for...More

We went there based on a recommendation from a guide. Let's start with the good parts: it was really authentic - the menu was only in Italian and handwritten. Bad parts: small selection of food. The food was ok, but not what I've expected (not...More

I'm Italian (living in London) and was moved as soon as I saw the menu. Food was exactly what a Roman in his kitchen would have. Couldn't take pictures because it was a business lunch but, oh my, trust me if I say that it...More

This is a small restaurant, seating 30 in the front salon, and about12 more at the back. This is well established "diner" that we had been going since 1987. It was and is reasonable for budget minded. There are almost always clerics dining there. Most...More

Away from Rome Trastevere crowds, this is definitely a restaurant where mainly locals come to eat. I tried their pork bisteca with broccoli and it was good. Price is reasonable as well. With 30 euros two people can have a great meal with wine and...More

Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded
postcard, a little worn around the edges but still
charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering
streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and
overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible
mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of
entertainment - a rotating set of street performers
entertains almost every night, and unforgettable
