We like truffles and this was the place to come. No white truffles but the black truffles with pasta was great. Not cheap but neither are truffles. Friendly helpful service. Understand that Italians generally like their pasta 'al dente'.

This Taverna was recommended by our hotel conceairge. On arrival we were escorted to a lovely table. Good menu good choice of food. I had the scrambled eggs and black truffle starter followed by Tuna. Total bill for two with a bottle of wine came to €105... bit pricy but the regular guitarist made the evening.....we had a lovely time... More

We were tired from travelling but Taverna Flavia made our evening memorable. It is authentic in every way. The food is delicious. We were a little surprised to see it so quiet but Luciana (the guitarist and singer) created a wonderful atmosphere. Thank you staff and particularly Luciana for adding to our memories.

Went to this place because of the reviews, but we must say we are SO DISAPPOINTED! The waiters was kind of cold and in a working mode.. like, take orders, serve food, no smile.... I love fish! Ordered among the many meals a fish risotto and almost broke a toth on a small shell, I also found a piece of... More

The meal and service was excellent served by Danni, What also made the night was a Guy called Luciano who serenaded all the tables during the evening with his guitar and wonderful Italian voice. We where very entertained this guy was a professional retired guitarist aged 77 . The food and service where equally good toilets and the restaurant where... More

We came here for dinner and found that the place has a history of many famous people who have eaten here, many of the rich and famous, their pictures adorn the walls, the food was of good quality and the wine was not badly priced for a restaurant like this place, it is easy to get to and we would... A quiet time of year but we were made most welcome and given excellent service. The food was superb and the wine even better. Could not fault the place at all.

This is one of my favorite places to eat in Rome. It is a family restaurant that offers good food and service for the price. It is not cheap, but you can get some of the best food in Rome reasonable. I have probably eaten there 10 times in the past year and it never changes. Although it was recommended... More

Good food and good service. Would have gotten full points if it weren't for the fact that they charged us 6 euros for TWO orders of bread when they just put a bread basket on the table without us ordering it and we shared half a packet (most of it was pre-packaged) of breadsticks and one packet of crostini. That... More

Had a great meal in here, the waiter brought a basket of porcini's and truffles to our table and recommended some of menu dishes that they would be used with. My wife went for a simple steak with black truffle sauce and she was not disappointed! We had excellent food for our entire trip to Rome but Taverna Flavia was... More

Staying in Ludovisi / Via Veneto

Neighbourhood Profile
Ludovisi / Via Veneto
Thanks to Fellini and La Dolce Vita, the Ludovisi and Via Veneto neighbourhood earned its reputation as a posh area where gorgeous Marcellos wooed actresses and models while bored housewives hung out in streetside cafes. The cafes are still there, and so are the cocktails, but the neighbourhood is now home to five-star businesses including hotels, banks, law firms, and embassies. The area is also right next to Villa Borghese, a beautiful park for sporting and cultural adventures. If you're looking for tranquility by night, this may be the place: Ludovisi and Veneto tend to shut down after 20:00.
