Stopped here for a plate of carbonara (the best I've had in Rome) and a bottle of prosecco, and ended with tiramisu. Delicious! Our server George was great-- so attentive and knowledgeable! The whole staff was excellent and patient. Romantic ambience and great food!

We thoroughly enjoyed our meal at Enoteca Trastevere, and our server Mimo was terrific - very personable. It has an inviting outdoor dining area but we chose to eat inside as it was just a touch cool outside (they do have heat lamps, of course). The menu is extensive with ample options for all, and although pizza is not on... More

Bad, expensive wine - not even the wine they say it is; 15€ for a cheese plate that comes with NO BREAD; 6€ FOR THE DAMN BREAD. Sparkling water, usually 2€ max, 5€ here. Many better ways to be parted from your money in Rome. AVOID Like the plague.

This is a great place to get drinks. We didn't try the food, but I would be happy to try this later. Great service

My wife and I went on a Tuesday night and took a table outside. The house wine was good, in fact excellent. The service was full of friendly banter but oftentimes slow. We both had specials -- the ravioli stuffed with ricotta and the pasta with mushrooms and truffles -- and both were over-priced with small portions and so-so quality.... More

My husband and I were strolling around Trastevere looking for a place to have dinner. We were greeted by George who suggested many possible dinner selections, including vegetarian options for me. It was a beautiful evening so we took a table outside. The food was exceptional, especially the white lasagna with asparagus! George, Andrea, and Mimo made the evening special... More

Staff were really friendly and joking with us, they were eager to help us and even offered to take pictures of us. Wine was delicious, and so was the food.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
