We tried this restaurant simply because it was close to our apartment and were very pleasantly surprised. The food (pasta) was outstanding and reasonably priced.

We visited Mela D'Oro on our last night and wished we ate there every night. So we returned the following day for our last lunch. The food is fresh and very good. The staff are friendly and spoke very good English.

We visited La Mela D'Oro occasionally. We ordered bruschettes and lasagna for both. Bruschettes were served in 5 minutes, but it took 30 minutes to cook lasagna. We asked our waiter about lasagna, she ignored us staring in her touch phone. We saw people coming...More

In Rome for 3 days & visited 3 times! Food always good. Service excellent- nobody grumbled if we wanted to share a pizza. Friendly efficient staff. Reasonable prices (except charges 1 euro per person for being there - though this isn't unusual!) Not at pushy

Situated in the old part of Rome it is 5-10 minutes away from the Colosseum; the food is fresh and the staff extremely helpful, couldn't ask for more.

Even though I'm the only one in our group who requires gluten free food, all 3 of us shared two gluten free pizzas and they were fantastic! Even my gluten-eating family members were thrilled. It's a wood fired crust, thin and delicate, very tasty. Price...More

Get the 10 euro special for a pizza, drink and bruschetta! This was the first place we ate at when we arrived, and it turned out to be one of the more enjoyable meals we had.

BTW, this is a very nice neighborhood restaurant. For a very nice hotel nearby, I recommend Domus Nova Bethlem.
