The only good thing about this restaurant was the lady waiter. Two type of food served here...local and tourists. There was hardly any meat on the lamb which was covered with bone, fat and grisly meat. The chicken was dry, potatoes looked as if it was a day old and the red wine was watered down. I am injecting my... More

Very close to piazza barberini, family run restaurant. Good choice for traditional Roman cuisine. Fast service, fair prices, good food. The cacio e pepe was good although I tried better. The abbacchio al forno con patate was excellent. Not memorable but a good option overall.

This is a busy little place with little space between the tables and waiters running. Service was fast and friendly. We took starters (ham&mozzarella + cold cuts&cheese) and pasta as a main course (spaghetti alle vongole + tagliatelle). Both pasta dishes were delicious! We chose to share a tiramisu as a dessert, but it was not quite what we are... More

Tucked away feel blessed to have eaten there. Fantastic food no in your face corny Italian service. The Risotto was the best I have ever had.

We tried pasta puttanesca, calzone and fried antipasti and nothing tasted good. Also the service was rather bad. Wouldn't recommend this restaurant.

We ate here four times over a 3 week period and found it to be very good each time. A family run place with charm, if you accept the bustle when it's busy. Like other Rome eateries you do get charged for everything, I.e. Bread, water, etc. We all had great food each time and enjoyed the house wine. Always busy,... More

My visit at the restaurant was ok. The restaurant was busy, so I was not expecting great service. Service was quicker than I would have expected. The atmosphere is great. The food was "meh." I had the spaghetti carbonara; way too heavy on the pepper and I couldn't finish the meal. My boyfriend had lasagna which he described as a... More

The food was disappointing. The owner (presumably) was not friendly at all and seemed to hover by standing in the restaurant staring when he wasn't taking orders or delivering food. On the menu a coke was 2,50 and wine was 3,50 but when the bill came we were billed 3,50 for the coke too.

We had two meals at Da Olimpio while in Rome. Both meals were delicious and very reasonably priced. The owner was onsite, and even waited on us, which is always a good sign. While he wasn't "bubbly" by American standards, he was more than friendly and efficient. The first night my husband ordered a pasta dish, and I had the... More

Good service and food but do you need to provide guests with bread that they do not ask for and then charge them €6 for it? Nice place but if you do not want bread, simply send it back. Two points off value for the bread thing, Otherwise the price is reasonable, and the food, good enough.

Staying in Trevi

Neighbourhood Profile
A non-stop photo and souvenir opportunity, Trevi is all about action. From early morning through the wee hours, the piazza surrounding Trevi Fountain hosts a never-ending flow of tourists hoping to make a wish or take a selfie. Clever restaurants, charming gelaterias, uncanny bars, kitsch shops, and a range of hotels make up the local landscape. Beneath the bustle are the remains of an ancient neighbourhood that you can visit by heading over to a repertoire cinema and asking for a peek underground. There is something for everyone, but if peace and quiet are what you seek, plan to visit in the early morning hours.
