Great family atmosphere and superb food. Our kids loved the jokes of the servers as well as the pasta and the chocolate cake. Fried artichokes were a hit with the parents. Great experience for a family lunch in the Vatican area.

Being for 3 days in Rome , staying near Vatican city we ate in a lot of places, and we were so upset that we found this amazing restaurant only on our last day! Best homemade food with best prices in this area. Interior is not fancy and old , but thats why you feel like you visiting your good... More

After visiting the Vatican Museums we looked up places to eat nearby and found the Ragno D'oro. It's a classic, family run restaurant that serves a menu of classic Roman cuisine and various fish dishes. Served up with no nonsense and very good humour the lively, friendly atmosphere and great quality food made it a really enjoyable lunch that precisely... More

From the crispy artichoke to the stuffed squid everything was great. The buffalo mozzarella, the assorted appetizers the carbonara - all very good. Nice wine selection and extremely friendly, but too busy, wait staff. Fresh strawberry sorbet was the right touch at the end of the meal.

We arrived at 7pm, as we had read reviews that restaurant got very busy, in fact it is a large restaurant and when we left at about 8.30 on a Friday evening there were still a few coupe tables. Food was excellent, tried squid as recommended previously, good wine and excellent very attentive service.

We are just back from a couple of days in Rome, and came upon this place while heading to the Olympic Stadium. Despite the fact that we were way too early for lunch (the staff were just having their lunch!), we were welcomed with open arms. It is clearly a locals place - we seemed to be the only tourists... We came here after reading the reviews. It was overpriced, salty food (almost inedible) and we were overcharged (probably because the waiter didn't realise I spoke Italian). Very pushy staff that kept trying to get us to order more food. The best part about this meal was the mozzarella and tomato for the starter. Wouldn't visit again.

Our airbnb host suggested this restaurant as a "locals only" place, reserved us a table and sent us on our way. She was absolutely right! An amazing dinner in an absolutely nice setting. One of the best carbonara i've ever had. Starting with a fried antipasto and ending with a coffee granita made by them, everything was wonderful. Will definitely... More

I first ate here in July with my parents. I liked it so much I came back when I visited Rome again with my friends. The owner is very friendly and funny and he made it a great experience for us. The food was delicious and they kept bringing us more. And the prices were also very reasonable. I definitely... More

Staying in Prati

Neighbourhood Profile
Prati
Just steps away from the chaos of the centre, Prati is the closest Rome gets to calm. Meticulously planned in a neat grid, quite unlike neighbouring Borgo, Prati is a local favourite for its aesthetic organisation and wide streets lined with a range of boutiques for every shopping fantasy. Nonnis pushing baby carriages and gossiping teens own every inch of the sidewalk, but that’s only during business hours. Once the sun sets, quirky sidestreet bars celebrate aperitivo hour, those evening cocktails that help wash away the tensions of Roman life.
