After being recommended this place from a work colleague, my wife and I came here after a visit to the Colosseum. Ordered some green olives, a pesto vegetarian lasagne and the eggplant parmigiana. Olives weren't the best, which I was kinda expecting them to be quite reasonable in Italy. Both meals were reasonable, and for the price of 7.5€ each,... More

I stayed in the Monti district April 23-30, 2017. Three times I visited Ai Tre Scalini; twice for dinner, and once for a couple of "after a day of sight-seeing" beers. Great vibe, super welcoming staff, great menu choices, and a non-touristy treasure. Understandable why there's a line up to get in on a Friday and Saturday night, and people... More

This is a quaint little restaurant, full of Italians, that is semi-close to the colosseum. My husband said this was the best lasagna he ate while in Italy. I ordered the special of the day which was a spinach and cheese ravioli that was good but nothing special. I highly recommend coming here and ordering the lasagna for an authentic... More

This is the most vibrant gritty exhilarating establishment in Romes Monti disrtict. Serving great rustic food promptly with charm and good wit which is essential considering how busy it gets here... Book in advance.. By 9pm the restricted inner area for dinning has spilled out into the street where drinking and revelling continues late into the night... Dont miss it

Worst place to eat. The server was very rude and food average. The toilets disgusting. The owners should pay attention. The prices very high not value for money at all. It cost me 15 eurs for a ravioli which was very basic not home made. The menus so vast makes u think whats fresh whats not

I was checking at my hotel a place where locals would eat and got this as a recommendation. This is a very nice and cosy place. The food and wine were excellent and the service extremely friendly. Worth a visit for a meal.

We found this place on our first night in Rome because it was close to our hotel, and ended up going every night. The place is hopping, and for very good reason - excellent wine selection, great food, amazing music, friendly staff and great atmosphere, all at very affordable price. Go early, the place fills up quickly and then it... More

I visited Ai tre scalini 5 years ago and it was fabulous I came back this evening and nothing's changed. Foods great, wine is delicious and staff are lovely, although took a while to order. Eggplant parmigiana was great as well as the porchetta and the buffalo ricotta with tartufo honey. Their were crowds of people standing out the front... More
