Great authentic Italian food at a reasonable price. The staff are friendly and welcoming. By far the best food we found in the area. So good after we found it, we didn't go anywhere else.

Great pizza and pasta, delicious wine and everything in reasonable prices. Not crowded. I fell in love with carbonara.

If you'd like to eat in a good italian restaurant, with good prices, warm staff and typical genuine food, choose this one. Looks like a bit old, but wth! that was the thing! If you're looking for a super-fancy-posh-clean restaurant for snobbish tourists, don't go here, and get along with ordinary food in another restaurant. Ristorante da Dino is made... More

Got to this modest family restaurant 4 years ago being in Rome for vacation. I was looking for an opportunity to be in Rome again and to come back to Da Dino. It was so pleasant to see the welcoming owners again and to taste the homemade food. And the prices are more than reasonable. Especially for Rome! If you... More

This was a nice surprise! Even if it may look not as pretty as other restaurants in the surroundings, it is from far where we had the best food around termini and the other touristy places. We had so far quite disappointing experiences. Before da Dino, we experienced restaurants where Food was often expensive (they promise you heaven while you... More

I tried this little restaurant because of the great reviews and also because it was less than a block away, at my hotel -- Hotel Smart. I was seated outdoors in the evening, for a late dinner, about 9:30pm on a Friday night. The interior of the restaurant was pretty packed, so I chose to sit outside since it was... More

On our 4-day-vacation to rome we enjoyed two dinners at Ristorante da Dino because we were positive about the quality of the dishes, especially in terms of the really good prices and the friendly service. If we come back to rome, we would definitely visit the restaurant again if we were near its location!

Ordered the carbonara, lasagna, and sausage and potatoes to go. The carbonara was extremely salty and the pasta undercooked. The sausage and potatoes again were layered with salt. Luckily the lasagna wasn't salty, but there was little to no meat and no visible cheese. Sauce was okay. Giving this a one star because of the nice service, but probably won't... More

Found this little restaurant a few blocks away from our hotel. It wasn't much to look at but the friendliness of the owner made us feels welcome. The menus are bilingual, but the specials on the board may need a little explaining. We all had one of the soups on the menu as all four of us were getting colds.... More

Staying in Esquilino

Neighbourhood Profile
Old school vibe from the very beginning is the only way to describe the Esquilino neighbourhood. The Esquilino takes pride in being one of the oldest areas in Rome for its key location on one of the city’s famous seven hills. From an ancient neighbourhood to its modern incarnation as a multicultural hub, Esquilino always has something going on—polyglot vendors debate street artists while kids play pick-up basketball games. Look around you: this area isn’t like the historic centre. Liberty architecture, large piazzas, and long boulevards mix with archaic arches, secret side alleys, and beautiful churches like Santa Maria Maggiore.
