Throughout my four years of seminary training I dined here regularly. Because I know most of the staff I try to return each time I return to Rome (about 3 times a year). The staff laugh because I always order the same appetizer (bruschetta) and pizza (pacchino and mozzarella). The cooking is superb, the service excellent. The chocolate covered chilis... More

Found this place on our last night, being outside the city centre the options were limited but wish we had known about it earlier, the menu is extensive, more than just Pasta and Pizza. Made to feel really welcome amongst the locals, they provided a menu in English and were more than happy to elaborate on anything we weren't clear... More

Went here for our last Night in Rome as we were staying local. They had a huge selection on the menu and they made you feel welcome. One particular waiter was very nice to help us with explaining dishes in English. For once the dessert menu had a nice varied selection too! Price very reasonable and the food tasted lovely.... I would rate this place 3.5 stars if I could, but since I have to choose one of the options, I'll go with 4. It's a pretty big and packed restaurant (went there Sat and Sun evening), so you do need to book beforehand. First time I had a pizza, second time a fried zucchini flower, grilled sea bass and... Being in a hotel outside of the main part of Rome, I asked the concierge for a local restaurant. He suggested Al Peperoncino. Upon arrival, it was very busy at 9:00,a good sign. We ordered several types of Bruschetta, and Mozzerella Balls. All very tasty. Although getting only one English menu, we ordered filet with mushrooms. It was soft as... More

Came here twice on our visit to Rome, really friendly staff who did all they could to help, and remembered us on our second visit. The calzones are fantastic, and the wine is to match! (They have a takeout service available) needless to say we really enjoyed it and would return if in the area again!

This was the restaurant with the best reviews that was closer to the Saint Paul Hotel where me and my girlfriend were staying last october. We went for a 15 min walk from the hotel in our first evening in Rome and we were surprised by the great quality of this small neighbourhood restaurant. First of all, it was full... More
