Went there because was charming looking restaurant, the expectations was higher than the restaurant is BUT for the price and the food we had (my girlfriend had pasta and fresh salad bowl) can't complain! Had a great chat and beer while recharged our "batteries"!

Conversing in Italian, I said that we just wanted a drink and maybe a snack & they were more than happy to oblige! We were made to feel so welcome & they couldn't do enough for us, so much so we stayed ages enjoying a full lunch, drinks & the ambiance...

Antica Taverna serves rustic, genuine Italian food - traditional starters, pasta and main courses. If you're looking for a good Carbonara or traditional meat dishes you've definitely come to the right place. Nicely located, very close to Piazza Navona, it mainly attracts tourists but it's not one of those tourist traps that you can find in the area.

We went here for dinner following a recommendation, but were disappointed to say the least. The food was mediocre and the service rushed. We have never encountered anything like it in Italy. They even plonked our second course in front of us before we had finished our first. There is plenty of choice in the area, so no-one needs this.

We went there for dinner since we lived in the same street. Had booked a table with the waiter the same afternoon, but when we arrived, the table was not ready. However, we were offered something to drink on the house, and they fixed a table in only a few minutes. Our girls had pizzas, which were ok according to... More

Average atmosphere really bad wine and to sum up the food was generally bad except the roasted chicken.

If you want a quick meal without a lot of fanfare, this is the place to go. The food is generally good, the service a bit hit and miss at times but always friendly. It is not upmarket.

A lovely restaurant / pizzeria in a tiny square down a side street. My Quattro Formaggio was so great that my whole family wanted a share. Service was quick and friendly. Highly recommended.

The service we received was poor. The waiters didn't seem to speak either Italian or English well at all - I ordered lamb, which was brought (before our starter plates were cleared) and was told by the waiter that it was pork. I spent quite a few minutes ascertaining in both Italian and English, which meat I was being served... More

I never eat at places without checking them on tripadvisor. This time I wanted to eat randomly and this place looked like a good one from outside. With my wife, we both ordered pasta with pesto. We received pasta with tomato sauce and pesto leaves on it. I think I don't need to mention it but wherever you eat in... More
