Popular with a good selection of entrees. Fine selection of wines. A good dining experience. Normal Italian entrees but nothing outstanding. Live music and singing throughout the restaurant make up for the general quality of the entrees. Very good music, very good. Recommended but not the best in Trastevere.

I've been there with my partner and many other times. They have a good product composed of good ambient, good meals, good service and good music. Maybe someone can find it turistic, but I lived in Rome for two years and speak perfectly italian, I just find it Roman Traditional Show. It's what I want i for what I pay.... More

Been here a few times looong ago and I had great memories. Returned with family and memories were correct! Great food (not fake local as in 80% of the tourist traps around here), friendly service, excellent atmosphere. For tourists indeed but recommended by many of friends from Rome. Give it a try and you'll enjoy it - prove me wrong.

We were staying literally next door so after a late flight this was perfect. Big meat eater place and seems to have a Bavarian type atmosphere with lots of music and singing crowds. Fish was limited and they had no Norwegian shrimp (on the menu) so only one kind of shrimp left on the menu but €18 for 4 shrimp!... More

It's sad to give these kind of reviews, but this is my experience and feel like sharing it. Beautiful location, just waiters could find a better way to communicate with potential customers. I've been denied with no explanation by a waiter. Probably kitchen was about to close, definitely there were enough empty table outside. Probably they work under stress, just... More

Is this place cheesy? Yes...Is it fun? YES! Especially the outside seating area. And just so you know actual Romans do eat here. We've gone twice now, once on our first trip to Rome and we did return because the show and atmosphere is fun. It's not a foodie destination, but it is a fun night and wandering the back... More

Nestled in a back street Piazza dei Mercanti, outdoor dining, with vine covered walls, lit torches, serenaded by 'Old School' Italian Minstrels and Operatic Female Singer and funny/quirky waiters with a show from the windows above at around 9:30 which even if you don't speak Italian will make you laugh or smile at the very least. The food is not... More

I went there with my girlfriend after a tip fram a local Roman I know from back home in Norway. This was the perfect place to eat. Good food, nice atmosphere and a lot of locals eating there! Service could have been somewhat quicker, but all in all a great place :)

Visited with a group of 9 people and ate outside - cool atmosphere. The servers are dressed up in some sort of folk, roman attire. We had to ask every time we ran out of water. It was a long dinner, taking just about 3 hours with our large group. The food was ok, definitely not the best we had... More

Atmosphere very folkloristic. In the evenings a group of musicians goes from table to table. Food average at best, so is wine choice. A place to go for fun, but not for serious food.

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
