Great choices of tasty local foods, with easy to understand (international) menus. Trendy decor which the restaurant seemed to be full of late 20's to late 30 year olds. Very welcoming and a Friendly service with a smile and handshakes/kiss to finish.

We visited the restaurant for lunch. it quickly turned out to be horrible experience. The worst we had in Rome. Here are a few facts: - the waiters were pushy and tried to force us to order full dinner when it was a lunch time and we wanted smth light - they were disorganised and asked whether we have ordered... Dined in with my Friend. Stumbled across Osteria, reasonable prices considering the area and excellent service. Tables/decor is average (our table cloth was stained) but other than that hygiene was good and staff were attentive.

My friends & I went for dinner on a rainy day to try their soups and we were not disappointed by any means. I personally had the pasta fagiole and it was delicious. Warm and very comforting. The others had the vegetable soup and they also loved it. For appetizers we got suppli and bruschetta and they were really good... More

My wife and I had dinner tonight at Osteria Pucci. First, the service is indifferent to almost surly, throwing down menus, checks, etc. My wife ordered beef carpaccio on the menu and was served octopus carpaccio which was not on the menu. We were charged 3 euros for bread but they brought no bread. My pizza Osteria Pucci was very... More

Found this establishment while walking through Trastevere. Located a few blocks away from the Tiber. They have a nice area for outdoor dining. Food was well prepared but with no major stand outs. Service was friendly but at times absent. Our visit was at the very beginning of the lunch hour and this may have been a factor. With many... More

This was my second meal at Osteria Pucci. I lead a group of high school students on a visit to Rome every two years and we ate here back in 2014 as well. I have to be honest and say that I did not think the food was all that memorable two years ago, but this time around I found... More

We had dinner at Osteria Pucci one evening in May. The cheese plate we ordered for an appetizer seemed to be basically slices of the cheese that they had on hand to cook with. Not much variety. The pasta and mains we ate were quite acceptable and the service was prompt and professional. After reading some earlier reviews I was... More

To be short: we will never go back again to this restaurant! Housewine was very poor, we asked 0,5l but didn't manage to drink the whole caraf. The bread wasn't edible at all, never had such a dry bread in a restaurant. Pasta (are we in Italy?) was the worst I ever had, salty and untasteful. My girlfriend's risotto was... More

Staying in Trastevere

Neighbourhood Profile
Trastevere ("beyond the Tiber") is like a faded postcard, a little worn around the edges but still charming. With its wide-open piazzas, meandering streets, weathered Renaissance buildings, and overgrown personality, it's become an irresistible mecca for visitors. Trastevere is an enclave of entertainment - a rotating set of street performers entertains almost every night, and unforgettable eateries and bars pepper its piazzas and side streets. For a trip to the past, visit the southern and western flanks of Trastevere for pockets of yesteryear, less traversed areas with a residual 1960s and 70s Roman vibe.
