Best meal of my life hands down, not even kidding. Everything was so fresh. Ordered the seared scallops as a starter. Had a crisp outer and a seared inner, was pleasantly surprised. Realised I had been eating rubbery scallops all my life until I went...More

....you must give Matermatuta a try. Very chic interior, fun servers, an obviously talented kitchen staff and great fish. Lovely oysters, spigola and monkfish - and where else are you going to get artichoke salad with bottarga? Treat yourself!

My husband and I came here on date night. The oysters were so delicious that I had to order another 4 after I finished the first plate of them! They made a tasting menu of cooked fish appetizers. I was delighted! Each bite left me...More

Low score is partly due to expectations and partly down to service. This is not a fine dining experience. The food is good but not up to the standards of a fine dining. We ordered oysters followed by three courses, unfortunately this is where things...More

Dear Sir, I remember your table. I'm really sorry for your experience in my restaurant. I remember that the waiters didn't understand that you ordered 2 appetizers after your oysters and he asked to the chef to split in two the octopus and then he...More

We had planned a 'special' meal on our last night in Rome, and this as we both love seafood this seemed the perfect choice on paper, and we still thought exactly the same as we left three hours later. We enjoyed a wonderful, seven course...More

Monti is Rome’s rebel yell. This neighbourhood just
west of Termini train station mixes grit with fun as
it continues to fight for its reputation as a magnet
for the artsy, alternative, and hipster. Every season,
quirky boutiques and food spots sprout up on its
cobblestone streets. The neighbourhood supports unique
and homegrown businesses that cater to its longtime
residents as well as hipsters on the hunt. Hang out at
