We wanted a spot over by Trevi Fountain but away from the crowds. This is it! We pushed for an outside two top and got the house wine going!! A while and a red local house that was perfect and so reasonably priced. On to bruschetta which was only more perfect than the wine. Started a conversation with the folks... More

The first time I experienced trattoria tritone was in summer 2010. Since then I have been there 9 times total including bringing people from a conference I organized and at approximately 2 year intervals where we went back again and again because the food and service was divine. Alas the 9th time proved to be a total disappointment. We took... More

We chose this restaurant for dinner based on recommendation of hotel reception. It has cozy atmosphere inside a old building. Food was tasty and for us Artichoke was great as a appetizer. But, unfortunately stuff has very poor command in English as a restaurant that has lots of celebrities in photo gallery.

Delightful character traditional restaurant. A great choice of food from fish to pasta. Wine was also very good. Service was attentive and our waiter was funny. A really enjoyable evening I would happily visit again.

The venue was nice, but had far better pasta, elsewhere in the city, undercooked pasta, should not be occurring here

I can not say enough nice things about this restaurant. The food was absolutely mouth-watering, and the staff were some of the nicest people we met on our trip to Italy. The restaurant, like all Roman buildings, is sitting over top of streets built thousands of years ago. Our waiter took us to the basement of the restaurant where they... More

After several higher ranked restaurants being full (Monday night!?!), we ended up at Trattoria Tritone. It was a delightful experience with joking waiters and good, basic, Italian food. The starter prosciutto and salami was plentiful and good to share. Beef filet and roasted pork was just right for two hungry persons after 20000 steps around Rome. Trattoria Tritone was my... More

Just a couple of minutes walk from the Trevi fountain brings you to this unprepossessing, traditional restaurant. The first nice surprise was that 2.15 pm is not a barrier to choosing from the fixed-price lunch menu; the second was the quality of the food, however budget the price. Super place with the traditional Roman warmth of service.

We've chosen this place to have a lunch and asked the fixed price deal. The menu had included first and second dishes plus dessert. Well - the vegetable soup was excellent, but yesterday's lasagna didn't look so good. As well, the main dishes were from yesterday if not before. Only the side salad was fresh. The dessert was excellent when... More

Great Italian wine selection and an excellent service. Try the Trippa romana and Ravioli al Tartufo! Not cheap but absolutely worth every penny!! Had a great time with my wife!

Description
Antonio Camponeschi, is originally from the province of Rieti, Cittareale, with a passion for the traditional cuisine of genuine flavors, for forty years is the soul of this place, who runs with his family with blunt style and quality care.

The restaurant is on the historic center of Rome, a few steps from the Trevi Fountain and the Spanish Steps, the local 800 retains its charm. The architecture of the neighborhood opens to a small square, where on summer evenings you eat by candlelight; inside wooden beams, arch ceilings, a period fireplace for cooler evenings and curiosity that gives a touch of atmosphere, a bathroom of 600 in sight!

Our kitchen is 'dedicated to lovers of Roman and Lazio culinary tradition, the lost flavors of the past, the chef puts on the simple dishes full of fantasy. A kitchen away from the big elaboration, made substantially of local products, and the fragrance of herbs, olive oil and bacon.

Speciality: A triumph of vegetables, including artichokes and Puntar elle. Among the main courses, alternating tasty soups like bean soup, the typical bucatini amatriciana, ravioli, fettuccine and gnocchi of sweet potatoes, all homemade. And then frying of fish fish; and yet, for meat, the lamb chops and chicken romana. In pastry, the prince is an unforgettable tiramisu all of own production.
